I’m relatively new to Centreon and am trying to set up monitoring for a few custom services on our servers, but I’ve hit a few roadblocks. I’ve followed the documentation and was able to get some basic monitoring up, but I’m struggling with configuring more complex checks, especially with setting up alerts based on specific metrics.

Could someone guide me on best practices for setting up custom service checks? For instance, do I need to write custom plugins for these, or are there existing ones I might be able to adapt? Any tips on avoiding common pitfalls would be greatly appreciated, too.
