what have you installed on your centreon server ? you would need the most basic plugin pack (monitoring connector) to just do a ping

this pack comes with a basic “active host” template that include the ping only

I have not installed a basic centreon server without at least the free IT-100 licence so I don’t know if this is included in the install out of the box without the it-100 licence

but that is the “right way” to setup centreon, you don’t need to customize anything to just have that functionnality

the alternative is to create your own “ping” command in the centreon UI, there are a few  things to do, but I don’t know what is not working, you would need to explain what is not working

Seems like my way to reload the configuration was bad, i reboot the server and i have my hosts alive : )

I used to export conf and reload but this way looks not good ...

Strange

just pushing with reload the config should be enough,

although after the first setup or an update you would need to restart some services (cbd, gorgoned, centengine), a reboot can do the trick.

the issue of not being able to reload the config if you add a host is not normal, if you can try do add a host to test if it is working as it should

if the config is not pushed correctly, there may be something to fix

may be i’m not enough patient, i will do some test, thanks again

i just add a new host who is alive and pingable from the server, but still have 2 hosts, i reloaded the poller but no more new, i’am sure that if i restart the server i wiil have the third host alive

Are there any error or warning when you push the poller configuration? (are you pushing the configuration correctly? step 5 in this doc : https://s.houp.xfusion.com/download/server/dists/dists_index.xml)

I also see you didn’t push the service associated with the host template (there is a “yes/no” radio button on the host just below the template selection to do that).

it is a bit redundant with ping only, but you  get a ping graph and history on the “ping” service, wich you won’t have iwht the host only (I see 0 service at the top of your window)

“ i have warning” <= that is not normal :)

maybe there is a issue (usually with user rights, or something else) but that maybe why it is not working correctly, maybe it cannot sent de reload command

if the manual restart is working that means the .cfg files are ok for the poller, so that need debugging a bit
