Hello,

Can you add one plugin for monitoring vsphere 9.1 on API REST ?
(Actualy it’s impossible to monitor ESXi with the old version)

Thank you

Fabien.

Hello :)

Could you tell me which version of the connectors you are referring to for managing ESXi? Is it this connector VMware8 ESX REST API?

If so, I’d like to discuss this further with you, as we recently spoke to someone at Broadcom who told us that the endpoints used by our REST API connectors have not been deprecated in version 9.1 and that they will remain valid at least until version 10.

In any case, we are planning to release new connectors (again), as the REST API endpoints for version 8 appear to have already been deprecated. To work on this, we would be delighted to speak with VMware 9.1 users so that we can better understand how our connectors could interact with this new version of VMware and, we hope, future versions.

Otherwise, our older connector VMware ESX up to version 7 did indeed work with the Perl SDK, which has been deprecated in version 8; so it was, unfortunately, to be expected that they would gradually cease to work as VMware released new versions. Try the REST API connector to see if it works with your VMware 9.1; if it doesn’t, my previous suggestion still stands.

I await your reply and hope to be able to work with you on this subject very soon.

Kind regards.
