It will be perfect if we can disable an output (or an input) in Centreon Broker config file in order to avoid that Centreon Broker do retention. Or if we can disable retention for one type of output.

It’s usefull when you use a lua Stream Connector and your Stream Connector doesn’t work because the remote tool doesn’t respond : we can avoid that Centreon Broker partition becomes full.

Hi @lolokai,

I agree with you!

Would you be interested in participating in UX workshops regarding Stream Connector configuration?

here are two other use cases

  • On my day to day life, I have to configure a lot of stream connectors. While I only need one to run at a given time, I would like to keep the configuration of the others just in case. Being able to disable the output is the way to go. Removing it implies that I may need to redo it later, which is boring
  • In the past, we had issues with the bam module. The whole broker process was blocked. Since monitoring is the priority, one quick solution was to remove bam outputs until a fix was given. Having to redo the bam outputs is boring and far from being user friendly. On the other hand, if we had the possibility to just disable them, we could have easily explain how to enable them back.

Yes please.
Plus disable the retention would be great in some use case.
