Anthropic MCP Protocol

Can you please describe the use cases you have in mind for such integration?

We’d like to be able to query Centreon from an MCP in order to benefit from AI and integrate inside a prompt.

Whilst there is currently no development around Anthropic MCP, you might be interested in 2 projects in Centreon Labs:

• One that uses LLM to generate a CQL query from natural language which output you can then use to get results through the API

• Plugin Output Processing which outputs explanations/recommendations based on a plugin output

Can you please give examples of the prompts you would be looking at addressing?

We could develop a MCP to be able to address our usual use cases, such as:

• could you please sum-up the critical alerts without acknowledgement?

The next step is to generate incidents based in Service Now from this alerts, choosing proper resolution group, linking to appropriate CI, choosing proper resolution text...
