Hi @Alexandre Belhomme
If I understand, you want new filters to retrieve resources for a user or group based on notification settings (whether users will receive notifications for those resources).
Would this filter be for the Resource Status page or in the resource configuration pages?
Hi @Alexandre Belhomme

I believe I mean the “Resource Status” page, i’m unsure what is the resource configuration page.
@Alexandre Belhomme
Can you tell me more about your need to filter resources from the notification configuration? Do you need to list the resources that will send a notification for a user? Are the concepts of groups and categories not sufficient? Other?
The issue i have is that those categorisation objects aren’t hardly tighted to a notification group.
Or maybe i don’t understand how i should organize my hosts.
But when i group hosts in a host group or through a category, i still need to create seperately a contact group and assign that group to all hosts from within a group or to assign it to a host template to be infered.
This makes that when i have machines within a host group, i never am sure that those hosts will notify a specific contact group, that’s why i wished to have a specific filter to be able to filter that in the resource status page. Either to be able to have a graphical view of what would notify a specific contact group, or even to ensure that i don’t have an orphan host that would not receive notification at all.
I hope i explain my point correctly and that i’m not missing the obvious solution.
So the issue is to know if your hosts have contacts or contactgroups associated for notification, or to know the list of resources that a specific user will receive?
I’m not sure that is a good idea to add this in CQL form in real time.
New filters or an option in configuration pages?
New filters or an option in configuration pages?
That could also be a solution. Indeed my underlying issue is also to be able to visualize easily what group would receive notifications on what resources, it doesn’t have to be displayed in real time in that case.
I mentionned in my post the “ View contact notifications “ , i’m unsure what is the criterias of that filter, but i believe having that filter in the configuration pages could be a good addition for that use case.
Is this what you meant @laurent agarini ?
