As stated in the title, Knowledge base only supports the mediawiki model for now.

It would be appreciable to support more knowledge platforms.

The few i have in mind are either other proprietary platforms like

  • Service Now

Other opened platforms like

  • X-Wiki
    •

Or custom wiki platforms like

  • Docusaurus
  • Microsoft Sharepoint

If some more people have platforms or suggestions, please add and i’ll list them

hello,

The problem with mediawiki is that it is only available in tar.gz format, so updates in a production environment are not possible.

Based on their main deployment strategy it is true, but i saw on the wiki (of the wiki) Software bundles - MediaWiki that third party providers allows for bundle and i’m almost sure some are available in packages if that’s what you are looking for.

Else you could always automate it either by creating your own package or by deploying through automation like Ansible.
