We have run into a visual problem with MAP.

Is there any way to hide disabled services and hosts on the map? We have agreed with customers that if they let us know that some hosts/services can/need to be removed then we will give them so called " 1 month grace period" - meaning that we will disable the services/hosts for 1 month and then delete them permanently.

But we have run into a problem with this -  customers do not want to see those disabled services/hosts on the map. We are mostly using hostgroups when drawing maps. With hosts we found a solution to just remove that removable host from all hostgroups. But with services we cant use that option.

So could you please add an option to future versions to choose if we want disabled services and hosts to be seen on the maps or not?

Because we disable things because we do not want to see them, so I do not see a point why would they even show up in map?

This is a fair ask. How would you recommend maps behave when a disabled resource is linked to another enabled resource? Should the link also be hidden or is there a special case to handle where the disabled resource would show?

I would still show the link, because then we would know that there should be/or has been something linked. And if I double check the map and see the link not going anywhere, and that is how I want it, then I can just delete the link.
