Today, Centreon users can monitor latency and throughput in real time via the Latencetech REST API plugin pack.
The next step could be to move from reactive monitoring to proactive prediction.

The idea is to create a “Latency Intelligence” layer inside Centreon that leverages Latencetech’s fine-grained metrics (latency, jitter, stability, volatility) to forecast degradations before incidents occur.
By correlating these indicators with Centreon Business Activity Monitoring (BAM) views, users could anticipate SLA drifts and understand how network instability impacts service performance.

Predictive alerts (“latency drift alerts”), QoE dashboards, and latency trend analytics would help network and IT teams reduce downtime, prevent service degradation, and enhance user experience.

This innovation would position Centreon as a truly predictive observability platform, bridging technical and business perspectives — and turning monitoring into insight.
