Having an option to disable checks during downtimes

Hello,

Is it possible to add an option to disable active checks during downtimes ?

For example, for a password renewal, to prevent the blocking of the account we need to avoid using a wrong password during the password change.
We are obligated to disable temporarily all services which feel counterintuitive and create other issues like the acknowledges not being maintened.

Hi ​@mikail, How do you plan to activate this option?

  • Is this option available in the downtime addition window? Displayed for everyone?
  • Possibility to select default value (No/Yes) as for Fixed, Set downtimes on services attached to hosts or Duration option?
  • Have the same possibility for recurrent downtimes?

Yes, I was thinking something like you described.
A box to match, in the Downtime window, visible for anyone who got access to this window.

I think having this option for recurrent downtimes would also make sense. Having the possibility to disable checks when you can disable alerts seems reasonable to me.
