I would be nice to have an option in AutoDiscovery to automatically change the hostname and alias if the ip is the same. Currently this is not possible. We already had multiple use cases where this would have been handy. For us to identify a host by the ip address is enough.
As the discovery can already discovery the hostname/alias this should be simple to implement. There is for us no reason to keep the old hostnames (even if two hosts switched ip’s). It could look likes this:
