Problem to solve : In the MAP module, adding host's network neighbourhood and the links/ports that connect them is a repetitive and time-consuming task.
Expected outcome : Within the scope of network supervision, the aim would be to automatically map the equipment connected to the host.
Potential solution :Provided that the LLDP (or CDP) protocol is active on the network, the MIB of the specified host contains the necessary information. The retrieved list must then be compared with the list of hosts declared in Centreon, and the MAP could be constructed from the join of the two. To avoid the risk of duplication, we would limit ourselves to the host's immediate neighbours.
