In my understanding dashboards will be the successor of custom views.

Currently the selection criteria in the custom views are much more flexible, e.g. you can choose the displayed data with filter criteria like

• Service Description like %search-pattern%   or
• Host Name like %ABC%

I did not found a similar possibility in the dashboards filters, you have to choose hosts or services manually. I do not want to create a host group or service group for every widget that needs special filtering.

Would it be possible to provide a more flexible and generic filtering solution for the dashboards (IT guys love RegExp ) , especially for the “Resource Table” widget?

Additionally, an export button would be nice as well in the dashboards (similar to the new export feature in the “Resource Status” view.
