Hello !
I have observed in Centreon 24.04.7, the URI length for the Resource Status Page can exceed 3000 characters, and with the hostname included or other filter, it may reach around 4000 characters. While modern browsers have increased their maximum URI length limits, I was wondering while continuint to add more filtering criteria (and thats great on this page !), this might eventually cause issues
Currently, we do use this view so often, and we haven’t received reports from clients about problems. However, as usage scales, the potential for issues might grow. I am wondering if it would be possible to consider optimizations to limit the URI length.
Here are a few ideas for improvement (but i’m not expert on this)
- Move parameters to the request body instead of using URI-encoded query strings
- Offer a short link option for sharing the view with colleagues or clients (or implement a more efficient sharing system)
Appreciate any feedback or technical insights on these suggestions !
Regards,
