So we are using Service Discovery on Centreon 23.04 but noticed that illegal characters are not getting replaced automatically like in the GUI. So why not replace them by default?
In our example we are using SNMP Interface Discovery. But soon got following Error:
The issue is caused by the quotation marks and empty spaces. Because our Interface Alias contains some illegal characters. So I made some advanced rules:
I am not sure if that are all possible illegal characters: [\!\@\#\$\%\^\&\*\(\)\+\=\[\]\{\}\|\;\:\'\"\,\<\>\?\/]
But wouldn’t it be better if the importer removes all illegal characters by default as the GUI it does? I think this can effect also other service names.
To have them in the configuration is not really someone wants as no export is possible. Also we can replace them still with any legal characters if we need them like I did there.
