Find the right RPM

Hello,

I’ve got two VMs to monitor with Centreon.

For the first one, I'm using a plugin from Centreon’s GitHub repo centreon-plugins/src/centreon_plugins.pl at develop · centreon/centreon-plugins (github.com)

plugin-path: src/centreon_plugins.pl

For the second VM, I would like to use an RPM instead of pulling the plugin from GitHub.

Do you know how I can find the equivalent RPM? Any keywords I should be searching for? Have you used RPMs instead of the GitHub plugins before?

Thanks for the help!

Hello

There are called “centreon-plugin-*”

But I think you need a license to have access to them :
https://docs.centreon.com/fr/docs/administration/licenses/

To be more precise, the repository is under Apache2 so you can almost do whatever you want with it.
There is some RPM packages made by the centreon team but are meant to be used with the “Centreon Connectors” and those are to be used with a license.

So if you wish to you can use the plugins without the connectors.

For example if you wish to use the features generic snmp, you can follow the documentation here Generic SNMP | Centreon Documentation at the section plugin, install the plugin and make your own commands based on the CLI. Please note that each plugin is seperated and can be installed independently

Outside of that i am not aware of another group / team that would package the plugins in it’s entiery as an RPM.
