Hello,

In first, sorry for my english.

In second, i’m not a centreon / linux pro

I have installed a Centreon configuration there is few years. there is fews days i hve accidentally delete it..

Since, i try to recreate my poller but that don't work. I need help, i search since few days a solution..

Regards,

Hello @Antony

Can you tell us what did you do?

Did you delete the poller from the page Configuration > Pollers and then recreate a new one?
If yes, did you link orphaned hosts to the new poller?

@sduret

Thanks for your support.

I have delet it in Configuration > Collecteur (french) > Delete

When i see my error i try to re-create a new poller in this same page : Configuration > Add but this don’t work

When i try to reload the collector i see no error (but 0 hosts, 0 services charged...) but i can see that, the config use is : '/usr/share/centreon//filesGeneration/engine/6/resource.cfg'

I don’t know why but i think this is not the good folder, i think the good folder is  nammed “1” and not “6”.

I say that because when i go in the folder 6 i see my hosts.cfg empty like my services.cfg whereas if i check my hosts.cfg in the folder nammed “1” i can see all my hosts.

Maybe it’s a way to resolv my problem ?

Antony,

When you deleted your old poller, you lost all the relations between hosts and this poller.

Can you go on the page Configuration > Hosts and check if you still have host without any poller ?
Take a look on this screenshot:

If you have this, please use “Massive Change” to link your hosts to your new poller

@sduret  yes is exatcly that. I see all my host but no poller associated !

I have make a “massive change” to add Centrall to all my hosts.

Now, when i refresh my poller i see all my host and service, but my poller is style not running, and the headband wich displays hosts and service up / down is empty.

I think there is one other probleme :(

@Antony Ok so now that you have all relations between hosts and poller, can you follow the stesp described in this article?

@sduret i try but it’s hard because i can’t use “systemctl” command because not found on my centos.

Also, in the first step i see that i need to be in the folder “centreon-poller” and “centreon-broker” to launch the command but i don’t found this 2 folders.

I think my installation of centreon is no like the tuto😅

@Antony maybe you can’t follow the step because you are using an old version of Centreon

What is your current release?

rpm -qa centreon-web

ALso you don’t need to be in “centreon-poller” directory because it doesn’t exist (by default). If you’re talking about the commands in the article, it’s just the name of the server.

@sduret

Hello,

I can’t solved my problem so i try to make a new centreon server.

On the old centreon server when i write your commande i got : Centreon-web-2.8.9-19.e16.noarch

Hello
Ok so it explains why you can’t follow he procedure I sent.
Your Centreon release is old and it’s not the same process now.

@Antony for your upgrade.

https://docs.centreon.com/docs/migrate/migrate-from-3-4/

I did not find a solution, the version is old, all the commands indicated in the tutorials do not work for the most part. So I am installing a new server. On my new server I have a problem: no notification sent by centreon. However, the postfix server can send mail without problems.

An idea ? 😒

Hello @Antony
Can you create a new question for your notification issue?
It will be easier for the community users to follow it 😉
Also I invite you to read these two articles:

@sduret all is ok.

I forget to add “Supervisor” in the generic service and generic host to received alarme :)

@Antony thanks for the feedback, can you close this question?
