Hi,
I’m in the process of installing a new 22.10 platform in order, among other things, to test the upgrade to 23.10.
In the documentation I can see the MariaDB official repository is a prerequisite.
But looking at our current production platform I can see that it’s a MariaDB (10.5) from the Centreon main repository itself (!) which is installed.

Résumé : The MariaDB server and related files
URL : http://mariadb.org
Licence : GPLv2 with exceptions and LGPLv2 and BSD
Description : MariaDB is a multi-user, multi-threaded SQL database server. It is a
: client/server implementation consisting of a server daemon (mysqld)
: and many different client programs and libraries. This package contains
: the MariaDB server and some accompanying files and directories.
: MariaDB is a community developed branch of MySQL.
As you can see the official MariaDB isn’t even installed. And for reason, it wasn’t a prerequisite back in the 21.10 era if I refer to the documentation.
Can you clarify if the official repository for MariaDB really is a prerequisite or if the documentation is simply not up-to-date?
The situation looks very messy from my point of view. I hope you can explain what’s the current status of the dependency to MariaDB.
Have a nice day.
