Plugin packs release version

Hi,

Although I upgraded Centreon Web from 22.04 to 22.10, the release of the plugin packs is still 22.04 (package centreon-plugin-packs-release-22.04-3.el8.noarch).

Why is it not automatically upgraded?

Maybe I missed a step in the upgrade process, but I did all what is written here: https://docs.centreon.com/docs/upgrade/upgrade-from-22-04/.

Can you tell me how to proceed? (or give a link to right documentation). I think I know how to proceed but I prefer to ask first.

Hi, the plugin pack is part of licence version of centreon.

The repos is not updated automatically. You need to modify the repos yourself with the 22.10 reference in /etc/yum.repos.d/, or download the new repo rpm from your centreon account.

OK, that was what I thought. Thx.

Après modification du fichier repo et installation de centreon-plugin-packs-release-22.10 je vois qu’une version 23.02 d’un pack m’est proposée :

Yes, it's normal.

Centreon Plugins and Centreon Plugins Packs are versioned like the Centreon App major version so YY.MM

You could see that on a product updates about the Monitoring Packs.

https://thewatch.centreon.com/search?q=Monthly%20Monitoring%20Packs

OK, so packs versions and Centreon versions doesn’t match?

On the link you gave I can see that the last release is in January, but centreon-pack-cloud-kubernetes-api has been released in February (so is a 23.02 version), is that correct?

I see no release note for February here: https://docs.centreon.com/pp/integrations/plugin-packs/releases/release-notes/

I checked my repo file, only “stable” is enabled, so I don’t understand why I have this 23.02 version of the plugin.

No worries, plugins version are not exactly the same as Centreon version.

My centreon version is 22.04.7, and the kubernetes plugin installed is 22.07.5.

You will have few plugins or plugin-pack updates without having a centreon update
