Hi ! I added a poller to my Centreon Central, but it says that my poller is running and I don’t know why I tried to connect to my poller web interface but there is nothing ?

I have done everything there:

https://docs.centreon.com/fr/docs/21.10/installation/installation-of-a-poller/using-centreon-iso/

It says that the poller-1 already exist (because it is added on my centreon central)

I Have check that:

And it looks good:

Log poller

Log master

 gorgoned  /etc/centreon-gorgone/config.d/40-gorgoned.yaml :

Centreon broker are not the same:

logs centreon broker

Hi !

A poller does not have web UI 😉

Its purpose is to collect data and send it to the central server.

If you want to have a web UI on the poller, you have to convert it as a remote server : https://docs.centreon.com/docs/21.10/installation/installation-of-a-remote-server/using-packages/

Ok thanks  ! So what is the difference between a poller and a remote server ?

And when I use poller ? And when I use a remote server ?

And my final question is how my poller will collect data if all of my plugins are on my Centreon central ?

I’m currently doing a Centreon-HA .

Hi !

  • A remote server is just a poller with a web UI.
  • You can use a remote server if, for example, this remote server is located in a DMZ and you want to operate directly on it and in isolation. The purpose of architecture with remote server is described here : https://docs.centreon.com/docs/21.10/installation/architectures/
  • Your poller can’t collect the data is the plugins are not installed on it 😉 FYI centreon Plugin Packs manager 22.04 allows to synchronize automatically plugins between central and poller
