My infrastructure is Central and poller is AlmaLinux 9.8 with Centreon 24.10.31.
I made a lots of tests with CMA for Windows and I have a lot of questions :
I tried CMA for Windows with Agent Initiated and for me there is a bug when I stop the CMA Agent to the host, because not warning and alert when agent not responding anymore. So I set freshness parameter to the service and that not working, when I set to engine, it’s working on duration (total time) and not on the last check and that my services became unknown every time that the time setting on the fresnness Parameter. that isn’t perfect for production environment.
After that I tried with poller initiated the connection to the host, and there a lot of problem when CA installed to the infrastructure. but I found a solution for working this way with (need to creat a private key and generated the public certificat by the CA. did you try with CA Windows Corporate solution ?
but some problems that i met, first : when the poller or central working with a intiated Agent, it can’t working in same time with the poller initiated the connection with the host too. because when i started the test, I set the agent to the central in add CA certificat path for communicate with the host and i left the certificat path for the OLTP receiver then after that my hosts that working with a initiated agent stopping to work ?
did you see this case ? is it normal that the poller can’t receive from the host that has initiated agent and it’s asked the telemetry to a host so is the poller that initiate the check to CMA agent in same time ?
Second problem : I saw when the informations from CMA services arrived to agent initiated by the poller if I shutdown the CMA agent services to the host, Same when it’s the agent that initiate the communucation, not warning and alert on the web dashboard it’s crasy. Poller or agent Initiate the communication same results. did you see this problem is it normal ?
third, I tried to create CMA active services to check my host, it doesn’t wotk too. the CMA services are they only working in passive mode ?
