Centreon is now available on Debian 11

It’s all in the title: after several months of effort and thanks to the active support of many members in this group, the Centreon monitoring platform is now fully packaged for the Debian 11 Linux distribution. We passed the General Availability status this week!

 

This is applicable to both the open source and commercial editions of Centreon and available for software versions 22.04 and above.

 

Read this chapter in the online documentation to understand how to use the Debian 11 packages.

 

It is now time to rename this group from “Debian Support Beta Program” to “Centreon Debian User Group”.

 

This group is where the community of users hosting their Centreon Platform on a Debian distribution can help each others and share their experience. We’re convinced early beta testers who started this group will be keen in answering questions of newcomers to the world of Centreon x Debian 11!

It seems that there are still some issues on Ubuntu LTS (20.04) :

$ sudo apt install centreon

Lecture des listes de paquets... Fait

Construction de l'arbre des dépendances

Lecture des informations d'état... Fait

Certains paquets ne peuvent être installés. Ceci peut signifier

que vous avez demandé l'impossible, ou bien, si vous utilisez

la distribution unstable, que certains paquets n'ont pas encore

été créés ou ne sont pas sortis d'Incoming.

L'information suivante devrait vous aider à résoudre la situation :

Les paquets suivants contiennent des dépendances non satisfaites :

 centreon : Dépend: centreon-central (>= 22.04~) mais ne sera pas installé

E: Impossible de corriger les problèmes, des paquets défectueux sont en mode « garder en l'état ».

  5. During installation, you need to add snmp-mibs-downloader (from non-free debian repos) to have the mibs imported.

     

    In order to avoid mib issues, you need to comment the mib line in etcsnmp/snmp.conf as below:

     

    # As the snmp packages come without MIB files due to license reasons, loading

    # of MIBs is disabled by default. If you added the MIBs you can reenable

    # loading them by commenting out the following line.
