SNClient+ : short review

Hello,I tried SNclient+ and I will share what I found with this short review.My thirst thought is that SNClient+ is mainly for Windows host.s Why ? Because I failed to installed it from Debian 5 to Debian 11 included. The Debian packages are broken on all theses releases, you can’t install it, it will throw an error.The answer from the team was if it’s not working you can try to recompile it from sources.It more sunny on the RedHat side because the RPM is valid (and tested) on RedHat 7 and 9 (I didn't test it on RH8).Also, only a unit for Systemd is included, no Init script.On the Windows side, it’s unclear on which version we could run it.I successfully run it on Windows 2019 but the SNClient+ team don’t give a list of supported OS :https://github.com/ConSol-Monitoring/snclient/issues/48 I tried some check with «check_nrpe» as I’m used to with NSClient++.Some are identical, like theses :$ /usr/lib64/nagios/plugins/check_nrpe -H 10.128.10.7 -c check_drivesize -a Drive=C: ShowAll MinWar

Retirement of Office 365 connectors within Microsoft Teams

Hello everyone,Some of you have already seen the information and have already passed it on to us (thanks again for your vigilance and your feedback). Microsoft made this announcement at the beginning of July:Starting August 15th, 2024 we will be removing the Office 365 connectors feature from Microsoft Teams. We recommend Power Automate workflows as the solution to relay information into and out of Teams in a scalable, flexible, and secure way.We will gradually roll out this change in waves:Wave 1 – effective August 15th, 2024: All new Connector creation will be blocked within all clouds Wave 2 – effective October 1st, 2024: All connectors within all clouds will stop working How will it work on the Centreon side?We have started to address this change and hope to quickly have an updated notification script in beta for users who would be interested in helping us validate it. We already have some ideas but we would like to know if any of you are already using Mosquitto and if so for what purpose do you use it? But also your wishes regarding the monitoring of it.

About Linux SNMP version 3

Dear Watchers,It had been asked for a while, we released it last December: a SNMP version 3 template is provided for Linux in our Monitoring Connectors. The documentation can be found there.I invite you to tell us here as a reply to this post, if you have feedback to give us about it.Does it fit your needs? Is it easy enough to use? Is the documentation clear?Any feedback will be great!Once we judge that the template is satisfying enough given your feedback, we’ll merge it into the Linux SNMP monitoring connector and apply the same method with other connectors.

What Monitoring Connectors need a SNMP version 3 template?

Dear Watchers,As I said here, we experimented a new SNMP version 3 template for Linux.We are planning to add similar SNMP version 3 templates to other monitoring connectors to make it easier to use SNMP v3 (I agree it's not ideal to use the $_SERVICEEXTRAOPTION$ macro for that) in more contexts.What I'm proposing you here is to answer to my post by giving:The name of the monitoring connector or the host template you'd like to see support SNMP v3 macros. The desired security levels (noAuthNoPriv, authNoPriv, authPriv).Then we'll prioritize the posts that will receive the highest number of "thumbs up" to deliver new templates in the monitoring connectors.Can’t wait for your suggestions!PS: If what you want is a template that do not exist yet as a monitoring connector, then please use the ideas section!PPS: Please post only one suggestion per post 🙏🏻

Aruba Aos-CX Execute command failed

Hello everyone,I am using Centreon and ArubaOS-CX to retrieve information from my Aruba Instant On 1960 switch (CPU, Memory, Network Interfaces, etc.).However, when I try to use it, the service status shows as "(Execute command failed)".Has anyone encountered this issue before and found a solution?

Hello everyone,I’ve been testing Centreon with the IT-100 license and am trying to manage my Aruba Instant On 1960 switch. However, I’m encountering some issues. Specifically, I’m unable to retrieve any information from the switch.The switch is connected, and the ping works fine. However, when I try to retrieve the CPU usage, my new service called "Aruba1_cpu" uses the “Net-aruba-Instant-Ap-Usage-SNMP” model, but the status shows:"OK: total access points: 0."Could anyone help me understand why this is happening and how I can resolve it?

Bonjour,Depuis quelques jours, j’essaie de monter une surveillance sur une base de données mySQL8 avec le plugin Centreon, j’ai tout configuré comme il le fallait, mais j’ai un message d’erreur au retour par exemple sur le check ‘database size’ :UNKNOWN: Cannot connect: Authentication plugin 'sha256_password' cannot be loaded: /usr/lib64/mysql/plugin/sha256_password.so: Ne peut ouvrir le fichier d'objet partagé: Aucun fichier ou dossier de ce typeJe serai heureux d’avoir vos avis si vous avez rencontré ce genre d’erreur, merci d’avance.

Performance issue with Centreon's database

Hello,Since upgrading to Centreon 23.10 (since 21.10), I've been experiencing frequent slowdowns in the Web UI.From time to time, I have to restart the Centreon server to restore service.Analysis has shown that a very specific request is the cause. This query crushes the performance of the MySQL server. Problem monitoring VMware infrastructure

Self Monitoring failures on new VM install upgraded to latest version

Hi all, I recently did an install of the free edition of Centreon. All I’ve done was install the VM and update everything to the latest versions and now I’m receiving a few errors in the services section and a bunch if unknowns. The first is for proc-postfix and is CRITICAL: Number of current processes running: 0. I suspect this might just because postfix isn't running and probably isn't a big issue.The other is for Connection-Time and is CRITICAL: Cannot connect: Access denied for user 'centreon-engine'@'localhost' (using password: YES). I also see this in a large number of the unknown issues. Would anyone be kind enough to point me in the right direction on how to fix this? Thanks

Hi I’m having trouble connecting to my MSSQL instance.
