VMWare 8 connector : First stone

Hello everyone, As part of our project to update our dedicated VMware connectors, we are deploying the foundation of the VMware 8 ESX monitoring connector via REST API this month. This connector is a lightweight version, as it only includes CPU, memory, power and host discovery modes. We have already planned to enhance this connector in the coming months with new modes. It is marked as experimental because, at this stage, we still need to verify its functionality with numerous metrics (as may be the case in certain production environments). Feel free to share your feedback on this and more generally on this connector here. We will keep you informed of progress on this subject.

About Linux SNMP version 3

Dear Watchers,It had been asked for a while, we released it last December: a SNMP version 3 template is provided for Linux in our Monitoring Connectors. The documentation can be found there.I invite you to tell us here as a reply to this post, if you have feedback to give us about it.Does it fit your needs? Is it easy enough to use? Is the documentation clear?Any feedback will be great!Once we judge that the template is satisfying enough given your feedback, we’ll merge it into the Linux SNMP monitoring connector and apply the same method with other connectors.

SNClient+ : short review

Hello,I tried SNclient+ and I will share what I found with this short review.My thirst thought is that SNClient+ is mainly for Windows host.s Why ? Because I failed to installed it from Debian 5 to Debian 11 included. The Debian packages are broken on all theses releases, you can’t install it, it will throw an error.The answer from the team was if it’s not working you can try to recompile it from sources.It more sunny on the RedHat side because the RPM is valid (and tested) on RedHat 7 and 9 (I didn't test it on RH8).Also, only a unit for Systemd is included, no Init script.On the Windows side, it’s unclear on which version we could run it.I successfully run it on Windows 2019 but the SNClient+ team don’t give a list of supported OS :https://github.com/ConSol-Monitoring/snclient/issues/48 I tried some check with «check_nrpe» as I’m used to with NSClient++.Some are identical, like theses :$ /usr/lib64/nagios/plugins/check_nrpe -H 10.128.10.7 -c check_drivesize -a Drive=C: ShowAll MinWar

Retirement of Office 365 connectors within Microsoft Teams

Hello everyone,Some of you have already seen the information and have already passed it on to us (thanks again for your vigilance and your feedback). Microsoft made this announcement at the beginning of July:Starting August 15th, 2024 we will be removing the Office 365 connectors feature from Microsoft Teams. We recommend Power Automate workflows as the solution to relay information into and out of Teams in a scalable, flexible, and secure way.We will gradually roll out this change in waves:Wave 1 – effective August 15th, 2024: All new Connector creation will be blocked within all clouds Wave 2 – effective October 1st, 2024: All connectors within all clouds will stop working How will it work on the Centreon side?We have started to address this change and hope to quickly have an updated notification script in beta for users who would be interested in helping us validate it. What Monitoring Connectors need a SNMP version 3 template?

Dear Watchers,As I said here, we experimented a new SNMP version 3 template for Linux.We are planning to add similar SNMP version 3 templates to other monitoring connectors to make it easier to use SNMP v3 (I agree it's not ideal to use the $_SERVICEEXTRAOPTION$ macro for that) in more contexts.What I'm proposing you here is to answer to my post by giving:The name of the monitoring connector or the host template you'd like to see support SNMP v3 macros. Send only selected service metrics to Graphite

In my production Centreon server has more than 100K services and I need to send only selected service metrics to Graphite. I’ve tried with Centreon Stream Connector LUA file. but due to heavy count of metrics, process is getting queue. Can someone give me hint to resolve this.

invalid characters in service autodiscover

HelloI’m encountering an issue for a new firewall I have to monitor (a fortinet)i’m using the autodiscover rule for the traffic interface, unfortunately there are some interace named with an invalid character for centreon : &I get discover results like traffic-WAN-AT&T  or “lan-R&D” you can’t change the name in the firewall unless you destroy and recreate the interface, so it’s not possible to do that (for now) is there a way in the autodiscover rule to make some regex magic to delete the “&” from the name, I looked around the discover rules, you can do complex thing in this advanced sectionwhere you can manipulate the strings, but i’m stuck on what to put here for simply deleting all the invalid character (or replacing them with something like dash “-”) an example I found what the exact opposite for extracting the windows drive letter and reusing it in the service name (disk-C, disk-D, etc… from an old kermit article Découverte auto des disques | Les archives de Kermit

SNMP Memory using "storage"

Help understanding host templates

Hi, new user here. We have deployed a centreon server only a couple of days ago and I’m trying to figure out if it covers all our needs.In particular I was tinkering with templates but seems that doesn’t work as I was expecting. I’ve created a host template with all the basic settings we need: notifications, services templates, scheduling…Now when I try to create a new host and assing this template to it, new host is inheriting only services and icon, no other fields are copied from the template.Is that supposed to work like this or I’m missing something? Thanks in advance for your attentionAlessio

How to specify logfile name with NSClient Rest api check_logfile command

Collecteur pas en cours d'exécution | 24.10

Bonjour, J’ai récemment installé Centreon sur une debian 12. L’installation s’est faite “correctement” avec la commande : curl -L -s https://download.centreon.com/24.10/unattended.sh | bashCependant je rencontre un problème, mon collecteur “Central” ne veut pas passer dans l’état “En cours d’exécution”. J’ai suivis les docs d’installation officielles de Centreon, les différents forum, etc… Mais rien n’a fonctionné. Même au niveau de ma debian, je n’ai touché à aucun fichier de conf.  Si quelqu’un à une solution, je suis preneur !

Bonjour, Depuis la présentation des collections HTTP au dernier Centreon Summit, je cherche à réaliser une supervision de l’espace disque utilisé sur un Radware Alteon par son API.Existe-t-il une documentation exhaustive des différentes clés (paramètres) et fonctions qu’on peut utiliser dans les collections en général (HTTP, SNMP et SQL) ?J’ai vu par exemple qu’il faut utiliser le paramètre “insecure=1” pour ne pas vérifier le certificat. J’imagine que ce paramètre correspond à l’option `--insecure` du mode “response” (`--mode=response`) ? Est-ce que si je déclare un paramètre “proxyurl=http://IP_PROXY:PORT_PROXY” comme je le fais avec le mode=response (`--proxyurl=’http://IP_PROXY:PORT_PROXY’`), cela fonctionnerai ?De même pour les différentes fonctions utilisables. J’en relève au moins deux : count et assign. En existe-t-il d’autre ?

centreon_linux_snmp.pl dont show exact disk free space

Hello everyone, I recently viewed that the template check “OS-Linux-Disk-Global-SNMP-custom” has a problem and I don’t know how to resolve it. The server shows the free disk storage but differs from the centreon check and the server (df command). Report not sent even if test ok

goodmorning,under report->mbi->general options->notification options we have configured our local postfix and with test button is sending test mail correctly.under publication rules we have configured a new rule with the same behavior to automatically send us a weekyl report and test button is sending test mail correctlyunder jobs we have created a new jobs with publication rule configured before and administration notification enabled, but in this case nothing is sent through mail nor postfix logs something. seems that at the end of the report creation nothing is called to send a mail.  could someone help ?thanks
