Removing the ability to create services linked to multiple hosts or host groupsFeature Sunset

Creating services by host group.We understand that these features may still be used by some of you, but we believe they can be replaced by the use of templates. VMWare 8 connector : First stone

Hello everyone, As part of our project to update our dedicated VMware connectors, we are deploying the foundation of the VMware 8 ESX monitoring connector via REST API this month. This connector is a lightweight version, as it only includes CPU, memory, power and host discovery modes. We have already planned to enhance this connector in the coming months with new modes. It is marked as experimental because, at this stage, we still need to verify its functionality with numerous metrics (as may be the case in certain production environments). Feel free to share your feedback on this and more generally on this connector here. We will keep you informed of progress on this subject.

BBDO2 Deprecation with Centreon 25.10 ReleaseFeature Sunset

About Linux SNMP version 3

Dear Watchers,It had been asked for a while, we released it last December: a SNMP version 3 template is provided for Linux in our Monitoring Connectors. The documentation can be found there.I invite you to tell us here as a reply to this post, if you have feedback to give us about it.Does it fit your needs? Is it easy enough to use? Is the documentation clear?Any feedback will be great!Once we judge that the template is satisfying enough given your feedback, we’ll merge it into the Linux SNMP monitoring connector and apply the same method with other connectors.

Legacy MAP Retirement [Updated 09/30/24]

SNClient+ : short review

Hello,I tried SNclient+ and I will share what I found with this short review.My thirst thought is that SNClient+ is mainly for Windows host.s Why ? Because I failed to installed it from Debian 5 to Debian 11 included. The Debian packages are broken on all theses releases, you can’t install it, it will throw an error.The answer from the team was if it’s not working you can try to recompile it from sources.It more sunny on the RedHat side because the RPM is valid (and tested) on RedHat 7 and 9 (I didn't test it on RH8).Also, only a unit for Systemd is included, no Init script.On the Windows side, it’s unclear on which version we could run it.I successfully run it on Windows 2019 but the SNClient+ team don’t give a list of supported OS :https://github.com/ConSol-Monitoring/snclient/issues/48 I tried some check with «check_nrpe» as I’m used to with NSClient++.Some are identical, like theses :$ /usr/lib64/nagios/plugins/check_nrpe -H 10.128.10.7 -c check_drivesize -a Drive=C: ShowAll MinWar

Retirement of Office 365 connectors within Microsoft Teams

Hello everyone,Some of you have already seen the information and have already passed it on to us (thanks again for your vigilance and your feedback). Microsoft made this announcement at the beginning of July:Starting August 15th, 2024 we will be removing the Office 365 connectors feature from Microsoft Teams. What Monitoring Connectors need a SNMP version 3 template?

Dear Watchers,As I said here, we experimented a new SNMP version 3 template for Linux.We are planning to add similar SNMP version 3 templates to other monitoring connectors to make it easier to use SNMP v3 (I agree it's not ideal to use the $_SERVICEEXTRAOPTION$ macro for that) in more contexts.What I'm proposing you here is to answer to my post by giving:The name of the monitoring connector or the host template you'd like to see support SNMP v3 macros. The desired security levels (noAuthNoPriv, authNoPriv, authPriv).Then we'll prioritize the posts that will receive the highest number of "thumbs up" to deliver new templates in the monitoring connectors.Can’t wait for your suggestions!PS: If what you want is a template that do not exist yet as a monitoring connector, then please use the ideas section!PPS: Please post only one suggestion per post 🙏🏻

[UPDATED] Deprecated views will be retired [in an upcoming] major versionProduct updates

[UPDATE AS OF 02/12/2024]As we are progressing towards next major release and still receiving feedback for required features in Resource Status we have decided to take a step back and NOT retire deprecated views in the Spring 24 version.We are planning the Fall version and will prioritize those enhancements in order to be in a position to then retire those views.Stay tuned and continue sending your valuable feedback![END OF UPDATE] It had been announced a long time ago that the plan was to remove the legacy host and services views as those are now replaced with Resource Status. How to create tickets with Open-Tickets in command line

Hi,We are using Centreon Open Tickets (Version centreon-open-tickets-21.10.1-1).It has been configured with rules to create ticket on our Jira infra.Afiter follwowing this documentation : Integration Open-Tickets - Accueil DIS - Centreon - Wiki (vaudoise.ch)… we can now open a ticket manually  from the’Custom View’ page… this iw working Well. But now we would like that tickets are created automatically when a Centreon Services reaches it critical hard State.To do this, I need to configure a Notification Command : but its means that we must to know the syntax on how to create a ticket in command line.On our poller we installed this package:centreon-plugin-Notification-Centreon-Opentickets-Api-20221017-094659.el7.centos.noarchIt provides this plugin : ‘/usr/lib/centreon/plugins/centreon_notification_centreon_opentickets_api.pl’ The modes availables are .   close-host   close-service   open-host   open-service … So we should be able to create a ticket in command line with this plugin, but

Keysight NVOS ret API port plugin

Hello All,I have an issue with the “port” mode in the plugin: Keysight NVOS Rest API All other mode are ok in RestAPI but this mode doesn’t work, in manual service creation or in discovery. The response is : UNKNOWN: 405 Method Not AllowedVersion of plugin: 24.12.2I didn’t see any newer version Keysight version: Keysight Vision E10S - current version 6.8.0.6  (last API guide = version 6.6.1) I try it with an admin account so, no rights issue… and the account is working properly for other modes. Any ideas? Laurent

Unable to see web ui plugin command checks results but can be seen just fine on server side

Hello everyone I”m monitoring hosts from a certain poller x that’s connected to the centreon central, however when i run command checks on the poller server I do get a result returned but on centreon web UI I see “uknown” state? and that no result was returned from plugin? anyone has any idea why? on the server itself:it’s same exact command so I’m unsure why I’m not seeing result on web UI?

ITS - Monitor VCSA SSL certificate

HelloWe have a serious problem with the vCenter machine, where we can't monitor the machine's SSL certificate.It's true that we have the ability to monitor the licenses section, which is already set up, but not the certificate section.Are you going to add that to the monitoring?I'm putting it as a high priority since we need to respond to the client to let them know when it will be implemented.Can you please tell us something*?

Graph time shift by an hour TZ America/Mexico_City

Hello, i’m wondering if i missconfigured a centreon. It is based at Mexico city and by so is configured on the America/Mexico_City timezone.I’m working on the version 23.10 of Centreon.This timezone is setup in the PHP configuration, in the global configuration of the instance, and configured as the timezone of the user.As i watch the graphs of my services in the resource tab, i see the data at the proper times but when i look into legacy screens or through custom views, the data is an hour late.Maybe i missed a configuration somewhere ? but it seems it’s only on that timezone. I read online that Mexico removed their summer time shift, so maybe it is related.Has anyone faced this kind of issue ?

How to monitor disk status on a Qnap NAS

Hello,For the past few days, I've been looking into using Centreon to monitor my IT infrastructure.I installed Centreon 24.10.7 on a VM, then a few hosts and services.My Windows servers are being monitored, butI'm struggling with how to view the status of the disks in a Qnap NAS.I'm monitoring the volumes, but I haven't figured out where to tell Centreon how to check the NAS disks to be notified if they're faulty.Thank you for your help.Eric

Trap snmp en HEX

Bonjour a tous, j’ai un script qui envoie du text via snmp, et coté centréon tout fonctionne bien, sauf lorsque mon trap contient un “accent” du style :”é”.  Lorsque mon trap contient des accent il est ecrit en HEX. Je ne comprend pas pourquoi… auriez vous une idée?  J’ai vérifié coté “locale” ou “export” sur mon centrale qui recoit les traps (un debian) tout est bien en anglais utf8.

NEED HELP - After centreon Upgrade : High cpu load on mariadb database serveur
