Removing the ability to create services linked to multiple hosts or host groupsFeature Sunset

Dear users, In order to simplify and improve the user experience of our software, we plan to remove two features in an upcoming major update:Creating services linked to multiple hosts. Creating services by host group.We understand that these features may still be used by some of you, but we believe they can be replaced by the use of templates. We are making this decision to optimize the software and make it more intuitive. Proposal of solutions when updating the Centreon platform Services linked to multiple hostsCreating a service linked to multiple hosts allows you to have an identical configuration of this service for multiple hosts.This service can be transformed into a service template. VMWare 8 connector : First stone

Hello everyone, As part of our project to update our dedicated VMware connectors, we are deploying the foundation of the VMware 8 ESX monitoring connector via REST API this month. This connector is a lightweight version, as it only includes CPU, memory, power and host discovery modes. We have already planned to enhance this connector in the coming months with new modes. It is marked as experimental because, at this stage, we still need to verify its functionality with numerous metrics (as may be the case in certain production environments). Feel free to share your feedback on this and more generally on this connector here. We will keep you informed of progress on this subject.

BBDO2 Deprecation with Centreon 25.10 ReleaseFeature Sunset

About Linux SNMP version 3

Dear Watchers,It had been asked for a while, we released it last December: a SNMP version 3 template is provided for Linux in our Monitoring Connectors. The documentation can be found there.I invite you to tell us here as a reply to this post, if you have feedback to give us about it.Does it fit your needs? Is it easy enough to use? Is the documentation clear?Any feedback will be great!Once we judge that the template is satisfying enough given your feedback, we’ll merge it into the Linux SNMP monitoring connector and apply the same method with other connectors.

Legacy MAP Retirement [Updated 09/30/24]

SNClient+ : short review

Hello,I tried SNclient+ and I will share what I found with this short review.My thirst thought is that SNClient+ is mainly for Windows host.s Why ? Because I failed to installed it from Debian 5 to Debian 11 included. The Debian packages are broken on all theses releases, you can’t install it, it will throw an error.The answer from the team was if it’s not working you can try to recompile it from sources.It more sunny on the RedHat side because the RPM is valid (and tested) on RedHat 7 and 9 (I didn't test it on RH8).Also, only a unit for Systemd is included, no Init script.On the Windows side, it’s unclear on which version we could run it.I successfully run it on Windows 2019 but the SNClient+ team don’t give a list of supported OS :https://github.com/ConSol-Monitoring/snclient/issues/48 I tried some check with «check_nrpe» as I’m used to with NSClient++.Some are identical, like theses :$ /usr/lib64/nagios/plugins/check_nrpe -H 10.128.10.7 -c check_drivesize -a Drive=C: ShowAll MinWar

Retirement of Office 365 connectors within Microsoft Teams

Hello everyone,Some of you have already seen the information and have already passed it on to us (thanks again for your vigilance and your feedback). Microsoft made this announcement at the beginning of July:Starting August 15th, 2024 we will be removing the Office 365 connectors feature from Microsoft Teams. What Monitoring Connectors need a SNMP version 3 template?

Dear Watchers,As I said here, we experimented a new SNMP version 3 template for Linux.We are planning to add similar SNMP version 3 templates to other monitoring connectors to make it easier to use SNMP v3 (I agree it's not ideal to use the $_SERVICEEXTRAOPTION$ macro for that) in more contexts.What I'm proposing you here is to answer to my post by giving:The name of the monitoring connector or the host template you'd like to see support SNMP v3 macros. The desired security levels (noAuthNoPriv, authNoPriv, authPriv).Then we'll prioritize the posts that will receive the highest number of "thumbs up" to deliver new templates in the monitoring connectors.Can’t wait for your suggestions!PS: If what you want is a template that do not exist yet as a monitoring connector, then please use the ideas section!PPS: Please post only one suggestion per post 🙏🏻

[UPDATED] Deprecated views will be retired [in an upcoming] major versionProduct updates

[UPDATE AS OF 02/12/2024]As we are progressing towards next major release and still receiving feedback for required features in Resource Status we have decided to take a step back and NOT retire deprecated views in the Spring 24 version.We are planning the Fall version and will prioritize those enhancements in order to be in a position to then retire those views.Stay tuned and continue sending your valuable feedback![END OF UPDATE] It had been announced a long time ago that the plan was to remove the legacy host and services views as those are now replaced with Resource Status. Hi, I have an issue with centreon_fortinet_fortigate_restapi.pl. If I try to get license info I get error: UNKNOWN: Cannot decode response (add --debug option to display returned content) Issue comes from the fact that there is letter Ü in output as company name. That messes the output up.I tried different options in the commandline, but at least to me only fix seems to be, is to add UTF-8 encoding to plugin. Or am I missing something or is there some magical hack I can use?NB! It not possible to change the company name not to have that letter Ü in it.

[MAP] Red container and object with acknowledged alarm

Good evening,I’ve 2 questions about Centreon Map: 1) A container is red because one object inside (a switch) have an alarm, but is acknowledged.It is possible to ignore in map the acknowledged alarms? 2) I draw 2 crossed lines between 4 container, I try to move the text of these lines but when I click on save, they return to the center of the lines, overlapping.It’s a bug? At the moment to resolve this problem I modify the path of one line (I attach 2 image that explain this). Thanks, Regards,Andrea

Problem with centreon gorgoned centreon 24.10.5

Hello,i’ve an issue withe connectivity between centreon central and a remote poller with the 24.10.5 version. My central can reach the remote poller with tcp port 5556 From cental, a netstat command  we can see Fin wait, it’ seems that the client initiale a connection to the remote server but don’t have received the reponse that the connection is established.  From the remote server: we can see  a lot of established connection to the central… Normally i have other remote server, and normally there is only one connection, but not a lot as the screenshot. Architecture:CI-remote <--> FW customer ==VPN== FW IT↔ CentralWe have open all rules on each FW temporary to analyse but the connection is not permanent…. Actually, when i export config throw the Web interface, the files generated are not moved on the server remote, i’have issue Handshake Timeout the remote server id =5the central id=1 Could someone explain my which commands are running when the export is done i hope i can see err

Bluemind SSH issue

🇬🇧Hello,I’m having an issue with the Bluemind plugin. I’ve tried different “ssh backend” options, but I keep getting errors.With sshcli:UNKNOWN: sshcli backend cannot use ssh password. please use backend plink or libsshAnyway, I mostly use service accounts, so I tried libssh :UNKNOWN: command execution error [exit code: 7]Or if the mode is set to core instead of xmpp :UNKNOWN: Cannot serialize statefile '/var/lib/centreon/centplugins/bluemind_core_***.***.***.***_xxxxxxxxxxxx....'Never mind, I tried plink:UNKNOWN: Command error: Can't exec "plink": Aucun fichier ou dossier de ce type at /usr/lib/centreon/plugins//centreon_bluemind_ssh.pl line 4059. I tested the service account on the Bluemind VM and got a proper response with the curl command specified in the documentation, but nothing works.I just upgraded Centreon to version 24.10 today after upgrading Debian from 11 to 12. Hello all, Using the Virt-VMWare2-ESX-Memory-Generic service, I want to be able to graph the values as a percentage.https://docs.centreon.com/pp/integrations/plugin-packs/procedures/virtualization-vmware2-esx/ By default, the plugin outputs these three performance data, but the one that interests me the most is missing.'used'=83033128960B;;;0;205563826176'overhead'=0B;;;0;'state'=0;;;0;3 To this I would add at the output of the service a performance metric which calculates and graphs the percentage. I would hope to do this with the “EXTRAOPTIONS” but I don't know how. Does anyone know if this is possible ? without having to rewrite the official script ? I need it for this case but it could be used in other contexts and plugins Thanks a lot

Updated centreon from 19 to 24, need to migrate the old poller to it

Hello ! I migrated my centreon from a 19 version to a 24 oneFrom my 19 version, I had a poller, that I didn’t touch at all, and now, I would like to get the configuration that is on that poller and migrate it inside the new 24 one (not add a poller to it, but merge it to the new centreon)Do you know how can I do that ?
