Legacy MAP Retirement [Updated 09/30/24]

[Update 09/30/24] This update confirms that MAP Legacy will be retired with 24.10 This is an announcement that Centreon will retire Centreon MAP Legacy starting next version 24.10. The diagramming and mapping functionality referred to as Centreon MAP is currently shipped in two flavors:MAP Legacy which relies on a client application running on a desktop to create/edit maps MAP Web, a web client fully embedded into the Centreon user interfaceThe following only relates to Centreon on-premise installations as Centreon Cloud already runs MAP Web. Given the change in technology and the migration necessary to move from MAP Legacy to MAP Web, Centreon has been continuing full support of MAP Legacy until now.With hundreds of production platforms now running MAP Web, we believe it is time to consider deprecating MAP Legacy. Centreon will end support of MAP Legacy with the next major version of Centreon: 24.10.MAP Legacy will continue being shipped and supported on 23.04, 23.10 and 24.04 accordi

[UPDATED] Deprecated views will be retired [in an upcoming] major versionProduct updates

[UPDATE AS OF 02/12/2024]As we are progressing towards next major release and still receiving feedback for required features in Resource Status we have decided to take a step back and NOT retire deprecated views in the Spring 24 version.We are planning the Fall version and will prioritize those enhancements in order to be in a position to then retire those views.Stay tuned and continue sending your valuable feedback![END OF UPDATE] It had been announced a long time ago that the plan was to remove the legacy host and services views as those are now replaced with Resource Status. Not every data is showing in Graphite export

HelloMy company has a VM with Centreon setup (I think he himself is connected to other instances and getting their informations)I’m exporting this data into my VM with graphite (to visualize with Grafana) but not every host is showing in the DB.  (there is like 20 host out of 100 so lots of missing data)There is already an equivalent to my VM, an old setup by someone else and it is getting every host and dataSomeone has any idea what i could do / check ? additionnal info :graphite is running the whisper/carbon pair to receive and store datacarbon is listening to port 2003 in TCP (plaintext protocol)

Missing Information in the Availability page

Hello,I am using centreon 24.10.6.I’ve had all servers up and running for a while now and I’ve noticed that there are some gaps in the Availability page in the Reporting tab. Most recently I noticed a gap of more than a week where the status is written as “Undetermined” even though the servers were in fact up and the checks were still running without issue and without change (seen in logs).Although I could take the Mean Time percentages, I’d rather have the graph display the correct values. I’ve tried rebuilding for these dates and it executes without error but doesn’t change anything. /usr/share/centreon/cron/eventReportBuilder --config=/etc/centreon/conf.pm --start-time="2025-05-25" --end-time="2025-06-05" --rebuild The conf.pm file is correctly configured.This is the output of the rebuild command:  I wasn’t able to find the issue, if you have any idea please let me know, thank you !

Hello, We have to survey our video devices with Microsoft Teams Rooms. With Windows, a plug-in exist and we have find the method to survey these devices. But with the android devices, we don’t see the plug-in to use. Do someone know it ?Thanks fo your answer,JP.

How to display the MAPs on the Web interface ?

In the Monitoring > Map menu of the Centreon web interface, in 21.10 version, what are the prerequisites for displaying the different MAPs that we create with our heavy client? I can see them, but my colleagues can’t, and I don't know why, since we belong to the same groups so the same rules are applied to us. Do we need to change something at the ACL level ? Is there any parameters on their profile that I need to change ?

Traffic Ressources on MAP 21.10

Hello,I have different resources named “Traffic” (from an interface) that i want to put on a view, on Centreon MAP 21.10. But when i select “Geometric style”, a green little triangle appears. I want to increase it size, so we can be able to see it when we’ll display the view on a screen, but increasing the size (by stretching the corners) just increase the size of the surface of the icon, and not the size of the triangle properly. Do you have any other solution so we can see it more easily ?

Add a notion of duration to a probe before confirming the status

Today, we have probes for CPU, Swap and Memory and I'd like to be able to add a duration before considering the alert, whether it's warning or critical.A CPU consumption of over 90% for 3 minutes doesn't require the same analysis as a consumption of over 90% for 1 hour.That's why I'd like to add this waiting time before triggering the alert

Deleted resources are still appearing in the resource status page

Hello,Despite following this KB : Deleted resources are still appearing in the Resource Status pageTroubleshooting I still encountering the issue.Centreon version : v24.10.5 Yesterday I removed, from the GUI three hosts :ESX1.TLD.COMESX2.TLD.COMVCENTER.TLD.COM I then, as usual, exported the configuration.And from there, the three hosts are still there when looking at the resources status page, but they do not appear on the “Configuration → Hosts → Hosts” page. I tried to disabled them via mariadb :   But after restarting the central, they juste re-enabled themselves alone :    What must I do to permanently removed the three hosts from Centreon, once and for all. Regards,

Ancienne IP d'un hôte lors du contrôle au lieu de la nouvelle

Bonjour,Depuis quelques temps, j'ai des hôtes dont j'ai modifié les IP. Lors des contrôles, une fois sur deux, le contrôle prend l'ancienne IP, puis le contrôle suivant il reprend la bonne IP.J'ai vérifié en BDD et l'IP est bien renseignéC'est comme si il y avait deux fichiers de configuration, dont un ancien, et qu'à tour de rôle, les fichiers étaient inversé.Et également, quand je modifie un argument dans un service, il n'est pas pris en compte, malgré avoir exporté et redémarrer l'ordonnanceur.Je précise aussi que j'ai recréé un nouveau serveur centreon, et importer mes BDD, mais rien ne change.ça fait des jours que je suis dessus et je ne trouve aucune piste. Si quelqu'un à une idée, je suis preneur.Merci d'avance.

probleme installation centreon

Bonjour , je suis nouveau dans l'utilisation de centreon. Je souhaite la tester pour la déployer chez 1 client si elle fonctionne .je rencontre 1 problème pour me connecter au serveur afin d'accéder à la page de configuration. je suis sur la version 23h10 sur VMware (format machine virtuelle). Quand je me connecte avec mon ip ; admin/ Centreon!123 ça ne fonctionne pas . Ensuite j'ai le message utilisateur bloqué .une autre question: Comment mettre l’ip en fixe ? Merci d'avance pour votre aide .

24.10.2 dashboard grid view - aknowledged services not filtered

Hi,We just updated to the version 24.10.2, and started to use the dashboards just now, we were (and are) still using custom view for most of our issues We created a dashboard for our services, and we can see that the aknowledged ones appear in the grid view, and I can’t find a workaround to get rid of them. I found this post for the previous version (problem with the 24.4.4, patched in 24.4.5) I looked around in the new DbReadResourceRepository.php file, it look like the filter is already set to resources.enabled = 1 (lines 184 and 462), but aknowledged services still show in the view.  I’m not against a workaround if there is no solution yet, I didn’t found a related issue in the recent posts (24.10 and up), but thanks to anyone that can help us start with those dashboard views =)

Centreon Dashboard Public Link shows wrong data

Hi,we use Centreon 24.10.5 IT edition with the new Dashboard feature.We created a new dashboard and added some data.As logged in user everything is fine: When using the public link from a shared playlist it looks like this:Wrong data in Active VPN Users and Wireless Clients.  The data-type for all three numbers is a separate meta service. Can you please help with the issue? And is it possible to round the values in the display? Thank you

Hostgroup Custom view empty with a non admin User

I was testing use cases on my centreon instance 23.10 with some hosts in a host group, then i wanted to provide custom view for monitoring purposes.I had no issue preparing those dashboards, but when i moved from 22.10 to 23.10, i realized that if a user isn’t configured as Admin, it cannot use the hostgroup widget, it stays empty.It doesn’t seem to be an ACL issue as the user can see the data in the resource status view and can even use the host monitoring widget. I’m unaware of what could be causing such issue.I saw there was issues with the filtering process as well on version 23.10 of Centreon, but i’m unsure if that’s related, so i’m opening an issue here.

Différence entre Statuts de services et statut des ressources ==> Resultat

Bonjour Nous constatons une différence de résultat entre la plage de statut des services qui va être supprimé et la page statut des ressources qui va la remplacer prochainement Notre architecture de serveurs :4200 hotes 92000 services V23.10 Centreon bientot en V24.10 central dedié , une bdd dedié , un MBI dedié , un Map dedié 200 collaborateurs journaliers connecté à Centreon 30% de nos sondes sont des sondes Custom a base de script Voici notre probleme :Sur la nouvelle page statut des ressources , nous ne trouvons pas les même informations que sur l'ancienne page statut des services qui nous semble plus correspond a la realité en fait je fais une recherche sur la page deprecié des services non traité+inconnu : le resultat est le suivant Le resultat est bien le meme dans etat des services tout en haut et dans la liste Maintenant j'utilise la page des ressources et je fais la meme recherche sondes services non traitées + inconnu resultat : il me donne 96 services qui ne correspondent p

Hello,I configured multiple services check with an interval of 1 minute. The performance data are available but their representations in the graphs are still with a 5 minutes interval.Is it possible to do such a thing?Is it possible to parameter graph to display data under 1 minute?

Bonjour,J’ai crée des services de surveillance CPU, RAM et Disque que j’ai appliqué à un groupe d’hote (ELK).J’ai crée des widget de type “Single metric” pour avoir les données, hors ces derniers ne fonctionnent que pour 1 des hôtes membre du groupe. Mikrotik Interface - Critical status when no client connect to the interface

Hi,I have a problem with the plugin SNMP of Mikrotik for monitoring them :When I add the template ‘Net-Mikrotik-Interfaces-SNMP-custom’ to the host for monitoring the interfaces of my Mikrotik router, this problem occurs ; when a client is connected to this interface no problem, everything works and the status is displayed as ‘OK’, but when the client is not connected (typically when I turn off my computer) the status displays ‘CRITICAL’ because by default it says “When the interface is up, but the status is down show CRITICAL : %{admstatus} eq "up" and %{opstatus} !~ /up|dormant/ “ And I don’t know why, but I cannot modify the template, For example, I try to add some value on “OIDFILTER” or “INTERFACENAME” but when I click on “save” button it’s not working. It doesn’t save the changes. I appreciate your help guys :)Kind regards.

Empty graphs export CSV on different user

Hello, When I export CSV graph from Performance from my Administrator account, i have a good CSV export and no error in  /var/log/centreon/centreon-web.log but when I do this with another account, it generates an error in /var/log/centreon/centreon-web.log and I have an empty CSV export : [2024-10-02T10:53:26+0200] [ERROR] [Core\Metric\Application\UseCase\DownloadPerformanceMetrics\DownloadPerformanceMetrics:108]: Service not found {"host_id":36025,"service_id":477985}The user has the view and the rights even on the host and the service.

Issue with VCenter since last update

Hi,Since the last update (version 20.10.4), I’ve been experiencing issues with my VMware setup. The account field in /etc/centreon/centreon_vmware.json is empty, and when I try to resend the login from the Centreon UI in the "Additional Connector Configurations" section, I get the following error:[parameters.vcenters[0].username] The string is empty, but a non-empty string was expected.This issue occurs on all my vCenter hosts. Do you have a solution? When I recreate a vCenter, it works fine.

Graphs in negative but value in positive

Hello,Since updating to 24.10 (via packages on Debian 12), some of my graphs are in negative.The values received are in positive.It includes CPU, Memory, Storage and some other counters.RAM DiskCounter When you display them in the performance page, they are in positive : I tried deleting and rebuilding graphs to no success.The graphs templates and curves are still the default ones I think. Here is the default curve :CPU curves, Memory, etc are similar (invert is never ticked). I tried ticking invert : Does anyone have any idea ?Thanks !
