Important change on 21.10 package repository

As you probably already know, Centreon 21.10 is not a supported version anymore (more information here).As a consequence, the RPM package repository for this version has been archived: it moved from https://packages.centreon.com/rpm-standard/21.10 to https://archives.centreon.com/standard/21.10.If your platform is still running 21.10 and you need to update it, please update your YUM or DNF repository configuration to handle this change.

Vulnerabilities in Curl CVE-2023-38545 CVE-2023-38546

As you might have heard, 2 vulnerabilities were disclosed on Curl last week.These issues have been undisclosed as CVE-2023-38545 and CVE-2023-38546.These vulnerabilities might have impacts on specific use cases, with specific misconfiguration.Default installation and default use cases should not be impacted.However, we recommend that you update your local package (on pollers and centrals) up to versions 7.69.x or 8.4, depending on your installation.

License issue

Hello, since migrating the platform from CentOS 7 to Debian 12 following the procedure, I'm experiencing a license issue. The IT-100 license appears to be properly validated, but it still shows 'license required'.The number of hosts has not been exceeded (verified via query). I’ve tried linking and unlinking the license, deleted the epp.license file, uninstalled and reinstalled the Auto Discovery, IT Edition Extensions, and License Manager modules. Nothing has worked so far.The license is used only on this platform, but I suspect the system fingerprint may have changed, even though the IP address remains the same. What else can I do, please?

Database issues central + poller

Hello,Since last week my Centroen doesn’t work, I checked all file in /var/log/centreon* and i don’t have any clue for the database issue. Remote centreon server

Hello,I have my centreon server who’s on another site, to access it I use proxy cause i currently have PRTG and I want to change it to centreon. So temporarly I access my centreon all with url’s :PRTG : myurl.com Centreon : myurl.com/centreon/loginAnd the thing is whenever I want to connect my poller , who’s on another site, to that remote server he can’t find it.

Centreon Web RestAPI (24.10) - Issue retrieving host category by name when it’s not linked to any host

Hello, I’m encountering an issue when trying to retrieve the ID of a host category using the following API route: {{baseUrl}}/configuration/hosts/categories?search={"name":"X"} If the host category X is not linked to any host, the API returns an empty result. However, if I don’t use the search parameter, the API lists all my categories — including the one named X, even if it’s empty. My goal is to retrieve the ID of this category to use it in another script. As a workaround, I can fetch all categories without using the search parameter and then filter the results manually, but that requires handling pagination and parsing the entire result set, which is not ideal. I don’t understand why the category is returned when calling the endpoint without search, but not when using the search filter. To me, this behavior could be considered a bug. Has anyone experienced this before, or does someone have more information on this? Thanks in advance!

Is it possible to put a remote server after an other one ? PROBLEM URGENT

I am installing a distributed architecture for my centreon.I have a central centreon and I need to install a remote server on it (maybe in Proxy mode) and finally pollers in different locationsThe IP addresses of the central server, remote server and pollers are in different network ranges and are connected by VPNs. Upgrade failure due to missing tables in centreon database

The file /etc/centreon/centreon_vmware.json is not present

Hello,After upgrading my central and my poller to the 24.10.5, I tried to add the new VMware ESX connector through the Configuration > Monitoring Connectors Manager menu.  Everything went fine, I then export the configuration to the poller, without any issues. But on the poller, the /etc/centreon/centreon_vmware.json is not present at all. And when I try to install the daemon, I have this kind of message :   How do I resolve that ? Regards,

Bonjour, J’ai besoin de votre aide.Nous avons installé un serveur centreon en version 24.10.4 sur une base de debian 12 et avons configuré Nagvis en version 1.9.44De manière générale, l’ensemble est fonctionnel, seulement la connexion à l’un engendre la déconnexion de l’autre, peu importe le type de connexion configuré sur centreon (Single NagVis user auth or Centreon user auth ?)Nous rencontrons des déconnexion aléatoire sur l’un comme sur l’autre.Auriez vous des pistes SVP?Merci d’avance

New usage for Severity level

Hello everyone,I'm facing an issue while trying to use the severity level to create a ticket with a priority level in our custom ITSM system. Here's the approach I've followed so far:I've created a severity field within the categories. However, I'm stuck on the following points: It's not possible to retrieve the severity level directly from the service or host in a macro within the notification command. It's not possible to retrieve this information via command line (CLAPI v1) or REST API v1. This is preventing the creation of the ticket with the correct priority based on the severity.I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas or solutions to resolve this.I considered creating a special macro on all hosts/services, but I would prefer to use the existing setup as it is already

Best strategy to deploy standard commands and templates to a centreon

I have multiple Centreon instances and wanted to provide a standard configuration to my instances.Currently i am making use of the CLAPI v1 and was considering using the API REST as it seem to be the target now, but as what i want to deploy is provided as a rolling release, i’m wondering if there is a better way to provide commands and templates in a standard way in “readonly” mode and to update them as i roll updates.I wish to deploy that as i deploy configuration files through rpm packages, my hope is that there is some kind of config.d folder that i could make use of to deploy my files so they are added to the available commands and services. Anyone making this kind of updates ?

DSM et le Check Freshness

Bonjour,pour un besoin particulier j’ai configuré des sondes DSM rattachées à un host.Dans la conf DSM j’ai service template base qui est un service passif, dans lequel est défini une commande et un check freshness afin de libérer les slots pour de nouvelles alarmes et éviter qu’elles ne s’empilent en DB. Le check freshness n’est pas lancé toutes les 30s comme attendu.Bien évidemment j’ai modifié la durée du clean_locks_time et clean_locks_keep_stored dans centreon_dsmd.pm à 10s chacun.centreon-dsm-client-23.10.3-1.el8.noarchcentreon-dsm-server-23.10.3-1.el8.noarch Mon souci est que je ne peux pas mettre les services en actifs, car ils me servent à voir si une interco avec des produits tiers envoyant leur messages a Centreon est fonctionnelle en se basant sur le “last check”. Si les sondes sont lancées d’elles mêmes toutes les minutes

Migration CentOS 7/22.10 vers Alma 9/24.10.5

Bonjour la communauté,Nous avons effectué une migration de CentOS 7 Centreon version 22.10 vers une distribution Alma 9 Centreon version 24.10.5.Nous avons suivi la procédure Migrer depuis un OS de type EL vers un autre OS de type EL (depuis un Centreon 18.10 ou plus récent) | Centreon Documentation (jusqu’à l’étape 5.8).La migration semble s’être bien déroulée.Cependant, en s’authentifiant sur la page aucun résultat s’affiche. Or, dans la partie Configuration\Hôtes\Hôtes ou Configuration\Services\Services par hôte des éléments y figurent.Dans la partie Collecteurs, le collecteur Central.Nous n’avons pas désinstallé les agents précédemment installés pour la version 22.10 (environnement Windows).Serait-il possible d’avoir une aide ?Merci à toute la communauté.

Upgrading BI from 23.10 to 24.10 breaks PDF report generation, update removes few required JAVA libraries xmlbeans-2.3.0.jar and dom4j-2.1.4.jar.You can download missing JARs fromhttps://repo1.maven.org/maven2/org/apache/xmlbeans/xmlbeans/2.3.0/xmlbeans-2.3.0.jarhttps://repo1.maven.org/maven2/org/dom4j/dom4j/2.1.4/dom4j-2.1.4.jarCopy them to /usr/share/centreon-bi/bin/cbis_lib/ and report generation should work again.

BAM broken after 23.10 to 24.10 upgrade - solution

Errors with RRDtool

Hi Centreon community, I have no found informations for my problems, so i post here. I am new System Administrator, and i try install Centreon. But have performance problems. After looking log files, i found cause : the log file /var/log/centreon-broker/central-rrd-master.log with high weight (23Go). An error example : illegal attempt to update using time 1724456519.000000 when last update time is 1724456519.000000 (minimum one second step)I activate RRDCached to avoid concurrent write, but have the same problem. [rrd] [error] RRD: ignored update error in file '/var/lib/centreon/metrics/XXXX.rrd': rrdcached query failed on file '/var/lib/centreon/metrics/XXXX.rrd' (UPDATE /var/lib/centreon/metrics/XXXX.rrd 1724329519:67100672.000000): -1 illegal attempt to update using time 1724329519.000000 when last update time is 1724329519.000000 (minimum one second step) Do you have an idea for this problem ? Thanks ! (Sorry if my english is bad, i’am frenchy)
