Centreon Infra Monitoring

Hello,For the past few days, I've been looking into using Centreon to monitor my IT infrastructure.I installed Centreon 24.10.7 on a VM, then a few hosts and services.My Windows servers are being monitored, butI'm struggling with how to view the status of the disks in a Qnap NAS.I'm monitoring the volumes, but I haven't figured out where to tell Centreon how to check the NAS disks to be notified if they're faulty.Thank you for your help.Eric

Hello team,I have a LDAP configured with an Active Directory. It works fine but when I move a user to an other OU, they can no longer log in to Centreon.If I delete the user from Centreon and then they log in again, the authentication works.Do you have any idea what might be causing this behavior?

Hello, i’m wondering if i missconfigured a centreon. It is based at Mexico city and by so is configured on the America/Mexico_City timezone.I’m working on the version 23.10 of Centreon.This timezone is setup in the PHP configuration, in the global configuration of the instance, and configured as the timezone of the user.As i watch the graphs of my services in the resource tab, i see the data at the proper times but when i look into legacy screens or through custom views, the data is an hour late.Maybe i missed a configuration somewhere ? but it seems it’s only on that timezone. I read online that Mexico removed their summer time shift, so maybe it is related.Has anyone faced this kind of issue ?

Good morning, I want to ask how to add in Centreon (with license) a Lantronix SLC device that have 2 interfaces with 2 IP.The connection of the devices is as follows:Eth0 → Firewall 1 (active) Eth1 → Firewall 2 (standby)When Firewall 1 is active, the device is reachable via IP of Eth0 and the IP on Eth1 remain unreachable.We use SNMPv3 and Centreon enabled for active checks.When we switch traffic on Firewall 2, we reach IP of Eth1 and lost reachability of IP on Eth0.If I add both IP as single device, it’s all ok, but I would like to group the two IPs into a single object.Is it possible to do that? If yes, what is the process to do that?

 Hi everyone,I’m facing a strange issue on my Centreon platform.One of our clients had a dedicated poller, but they left our infrastructure and cut the connection to the Central server.I believe the administrators moved the hosts to another poller and then deleted the old poller after a configuration reload.However, one host still appears in the Resource Status view, even though it no longer exists in the Hosts configuration.Interestingly, only the services appear with a green "OK" status, while the host itself is shown as Pending (blue dot), even though it shouldn’t exist anymore.I’ve already tried restarting cbd and gorgoned, but the ghost entry is still there.Has anyone experienced something similar?Any idea how to clean this up?

Hi,Deletion of the expired tokens is logging this : 1) Does it really need to be executed every minutes? As you can see in the log I changed the crontab entry to do this only every five minutes (as a test, I did not observed issue). Every five minutes still seems uselessly too frequent. Do you think it can be done less frequently? Like every hour or so? What’s those tokens’s validity period? 2) What are “tokens which are not linked to a refresh tokens”? Are they the tokens manually created from the UI, from the “API Tokens” menu? I guess they probably even less need to be purged so much frequently than the refresh tokens do, do they? 3) I see a third  line about “expired sessions”, can you tell what is this purge doing? Je teste actuellement une intégration avec Centreon via l’API REST (en utilisant les endpoints natifs de Centreon).Je voudrais savoir s’il est possible d’utiliser cette API tout en bénéficiant du SSO (LDAP) déjà en place.Je n’ai pas accès à une plateforme de test avec le SSO activé, mais chez l’utilisateur final, l’authentification SSO via LDAP fonctionne sur l’interface web de Centreon.Ma question est donc la suivante :Est-il possible d’utiliser le SSO (basé sur LDAP) pour récupérer le token nécessaire aux appels API ?Et si oui, y a-t-il une documentation précisant les en-têtes ou paramètres spécifiques à fournir (par exemple en complément du UseDefaultCredentials = true dans le handler) ?Merci d’avance pour vos retours !

Hello,I have created new host groups and want to create dashboarding using them, but newly created host group and service group are not appearing at Dashboard. I am not understanding why? all things are looking good.my central server is at 23.10 and all pollers at 24.10.Can you guys have any idea where too look to address issue?Thank you.

I was trying to run updates on my Centreon VM this morning and it wasn’t able to download the updates.  Check the disk size and I am seeing my dev/sda is full.  Digging in further I found that the /var/lib/mysql/centreon_storage folder is using the vast majority of my disk space.  After some googling I did find the retention settings and I change all of those values, but I assume there is a job that I need to run in order for it to go through and gracefully purge those older files?  I found this referenced sudo -u centreon /opt/rh/rh-php72/root/usr/bin/php /usr/share/centreon/cron/centstorage_purge.php, but it did not work on my system.  This is the OVA for Centreon that I am running on and I am currently on version 24.04.12.  Any help would be appreciated on this.

Hi, Here’s the matter : to get metrics from an API one has first to request the “login” endpoint, providing user and password, to get back an authentication token (with a limite time validity). BUT this token is provided in the header “Authorization”, not in the json body of the response, and I didn’t manage to get it.Is there a way to extract values of the header ?Thx.

Bonjour,J’ai configuré un job autodiscovery VMware VM qui me pose des problème.Lors de la première découverte j’ai une liste de VM activées dans Centreon qui correspondent au différents mapper.Lors du deuxième passage, j’ai des VM qui passent automatiquement en disable et je ne comprends pas pourquoi.y a-t-il un moyen de tracer pourquoi ces machines passent en disable.Je ne vois rien dans les log.Merci de votre aide
