Hope that’s not too much of a duplicate from this topic.

Has anyone ever worked on interfacing Netbox with Centreon?

I am looking into what would be possible, i.e. identifying any discrepancies between Netbox hardware items and monitored hosts; or monitoring specific interfaces based on Netbox data.

My understanding is that I should use the Netbox and Centreon APIs, but I haven't been able to find any use cases. I have found a couple with Zabbix, though. (Sorry for bringing out Centreon’s direct competitor on the Watch 🤐)

Any feedback would be very much appreciated!

As the post you quoted mentions, there is currently no connector dedicated directly to monitoring Netbox via API. 
You can therefore propose an idea in this section for the development of a specific Netbox API connector. To do this, we will need as much information as possible about what you want to monitor (elements, metrics, etc.). We will also need data on which to carry out this development: API requests and output (usually JSOn or XML format).
In the meantime, you can follow the methodology suggested in the post you quoted and/or perhaps use the API collections to refine your requirements.
