Problem to solve: to know that the model you’ve just build will react based on what is expected during production instead of waiting for the issue to occur in production to fix the model.

Expected outcome: The goal is to validate the BAM model by testing the impact tree nodes (Service and BA) in a simulated way, including also notifications and event handlers.
 

Potential solutions:

Ideally it would be accessible from the Monitoring > Business activity interface by switching from real time to simulator. by right clicking on any node we could change its state (OK, Warning, Critical), this will show the impact on the entire tree and possibly trigger notifications and even handlers (if selected and configured)

If not possible from the Monitoring Menu, then a dedicated page in the Business activity would also be a possible solution but it needs to show the impact tree in a graphical way.
