Cannot install Centreon-packaged NRPE3 daemon and Linux local plugin

Hello,

 

I follow the documentation https://docs.centreon.com/pp/integrations/plugin-packs/procedures/operatingsystems-linux-nrpe3/#installation-of-centreon-packaged-nrpe3-daemon-and-linux-local-plugin to deploy the Centreon-packaged NRPE3 daemon and Linux local plugin on RHEL 7 server.

 

But when I execute the yum command I have a error  :

 yum install -y https://yum.centreon.com/standard/22.10/el7/stable/noarch/RPMS/centreon-release-22.10-1.el7.centos.noarch.rpm
Loaded plugins: fastestmirror
Cannot open: https://yum.centreon.com/standard/22.10/el7/stable/noarch/RPMS/centreon-release-22.10-1.el7.centos.noarch.rpm. Skipping.

When I try the URL in internet browser I have the error page :

 

I have the same issue on RHEL 8 rpm URL.

How can I get the rpm centreon-release-22.10-1.el7.centos.noarch.rpm?

Thanks, above information helped me monitor RHEL 7 . 

at the same time unable to install the package on RHEL 8.6 server, let me know  how to go for it. thanks.

Thanks , I m able to install from above mentioend link in RHEL 8. but unable to install “centreon-nrpe3-daemon.x86_64 centreon-plugin-Operatingsystems-Linux-Local.noarch “ , refer below for the error:

“Problem: package centreon-plugin-Operatingsystems-Linux-Local-20230117-074217.el8.noarch requires perl(JSON::XS), but none of the providers can be installed
  - cannot install the best candidate for the job
  - nothing provides perl(:MODULE_COMPAT_5.16.3) needed by perl-JSON-XS-1:3.01-2.el7.x86_64
(try to add '--skip-broken' to skip uninstallable packages or '--nobest' to use not only best candidate packages)”

let me know some solution to resolve this issue. Thanks.

Hi @krishnakumar,

On EL8 perl-JSON-XS is provided by the ‘powertools’ repo.

Can you try:

dnf -y config-manager --set-enabled 'powertools'

Hi 

is if the location of  agent changed , i am not able to download the agent from  below mentioned location.

unable to install agent on RHEL 7.9 servers. Please help. Thanks.

Hi @krishnakumar,

The NRPE plugin is a binary, so it’s not in the ‘noarch’ section, it’s there: https://packages.centreon.com/ui/native/rpm-standard/22.10/el7/stable/x86_64/RPMS/nrpe3-daemon/

yum install centreon-nrpe3-plugin.x86_64
