Hello community

I have a question, is it possible to monitor the alarms on the VCenter? I'm not talking about monitoring errors on a datacenter/cluster or host that works very well but really the VCenter.

For example when the backup of the VCenter is in error or if the self-signed certifcat reaches the end of its life? I didn't find (or didn't look hard enough) this option in the current probe.

Thanks in advance

Hi Christophe,

This is something we are thinking about and some users are making the same request.

You can join the discussion here: https://github.com/centreon/centreon-plugins/issues/3854, at the moment we need more info to know how we can achieve this as efficiently as possible.

If you are aware of any curl/API endpoint returning these data, and that you can provide sample data or remote access, just mention it through the aforementioned thread.

Best,

Yes,

Same trouble here.

My vcenter certificate expired on 17/02/25

but i saw it only yesterday trying to connect to my vcenter….

With no warning in Centreon, we can’t correctly handle it on time, force me to do it in emergency.

my philosophy: do it well or don’t do it but not an half….

If centreon can’t monitoring well my system then i need to find an other product to it well.
