Hello everyone,

I'm reaching out to the community for some guidance on managing user permissions in Centreon. In our organization, we need to allow certain users (who should not have global admin rights) to be able to add, edit, and delete monitoring plugins in Centreon. The goal is to give them some autonomy in managing plugins without giving them full control over the system.

I've looked through the documentation and configuration settings but haven't found a clear solution on how to set these specific permissions. Has anyone implemented a similar setup or can guide me on the best approach to this configuration?

Here's what we're looking to achieve:

  1. The designated users should be able to add new monitoring plugins to the system.
  2. These users should also be able to modify the configurations of existing monitoring plugins.
  3. They should be able to delete monitoring plugins if needed.
  4. However, it's crucial that these permissions are limited to monitoring plugins management only, without providing access to the global administrative features of Centreon.

Thank you in advance for your help and advice.

HI @quentinrey this is more a question about Linux permissions and file system.

Your user need to have the possibility to write un /usr/ib/centreon/plugins and to set the correct owner and mode on files.
