Hi,

During the upgrade of a central server, especially when the PHP script are run, should/must distant poller be up and running? Or doesn’t matter?

I have this question with Gorgone in mind: do the PHP upgrade scripts could need to do any  modification on the remote pollers, like deploying new files?

hello,

if you look at the documentation Update a Centreon 24.10 platform | Centreon Documentation

or the upgrade Upgrade from Centreon 24.04 | Centreon Documentation  (choose your upgrade path, depending on wich old version you are using there may be a different procedure)

you should always update the “central”, then the “enterprise module” (if any), then you must update / upgrade all the “remote servers”, then the “pollers”

the upgrade process is not using any gorgoned communication, so all upgrade are done individually

The best practice is to do all the upgrades in one go, and not wait too much between upgrading the central and the pollers, as the broker may have compatibility issue on some older version

OK.

I’m doing in this order, doing the database server before the central. And yes, also in one go. Thx for your answer.
