In case you missed this bit, the documentation states that you need a user with read privileges on the API. If you need more information, I’m afraid you need to refer to Veeam’s documentation, as we do not document third-party applications in our own documentation.

I can confirm that we have no plans to add more info about the configuration of Veeam Backup, as it is a third-party application. You need to refer to their own documentation (e.g. this page).
