Hello,

I have a question about the last version 23.04.

We will reinstall our central servers on RH8. (Web server, DB server & broker server)

But, actually, we can’t reinstall or upgrade right now our pollers on RH7.x

On the new repositiry, I saw that no el7 packages are available for 23.04…

So, can pollers running RH7 with version 22.10 communicate with a central server running RH8 and version 23.04 without problems?

Hi Guillaume,

From what I know and my experience, it is entirely possible to have a server on 23.04 and a poller on 22.10. The most important thing is the version of the BBDO protocol used to transmit the information. However, there may be some differences in the process of exporting the configuration (I'm not sure).

It is recommended, of course, to have a homogeneous stack. I'll leave it to the experts to correct me and confirm or inform my information.

However, during our update from 22.10 to 23.04, which took two weeks (for some internal reasons), we had the central server on version 23.04 and the poller on version 22.10 without any problems during the migration, and we continued to use the tool without encountering any issues.

Thank you, that makes me feel better.

This will allow us to make our migration more serenely in 2 steps.
