SNMP Traps Config

Retrieving data from Grafana to Centreon

Hi,we have some dashboards in grafana that we want to see in our Centreon. We have no acces to the information that is showed in this dashboards until it arrives at Grafana. So, we are trying to find a way to send this data from grafana to centreon, in order to get alerted as with the rest of our alarms.This information is as traffic light, OK / WARNING / CRITICAL.Is there any way to retrieve this information and show it in Centreon?Best regards,Esther Novoa

Centreon Metrics to Splunk - not working

Hi all,I am trying to send metrics from Centreon to our Splunk instance, but have not had any success.  I followed the steps here: https://docs.centreon.com/docs/integrations/data-analytics/sc-splunk-metrics/.When I run the curl command at the bottom of that page to test the connection with Splunk, it works and the event shows up in Splunk as expected.  However, none of the actual metrics from Centreon show up.  If I enable curl command logging in the stream connector, I can copy one of the curl commands and run it manually.  The Splunk HTTP Event Collector responds with a 200/OK status, but the event never appears in Splunk.To simplify things, I tried sending a service_status or host_status event pulled directly from the documentation page above.  That also gives a 200/OK response code, and never arrives in Splunk.  Changing sourcetype, source, index, host, time, etc. does not seem to fix the issue.Does anyone else have this working, and if so how did you do it? UNKNOWN: Command error: Exchange NRPE plugin check DATABASES

Hi,I have added two Exchange servers with the NRPE plugin.For some reason the Databases’ check returns the error below:UNKNOWN: Command error:I actually use the same plugin/check on other Exchange servers without any issues.There are no details on the error even if I run it from the poller itselfAny idea on this?Thanks

The Centreon Plugins team recently introduced a new fashion of scraping monitoring indicators. It’s called Collection.  These modes could be seen as 'dumb' boiler-plates, allowing you to monitor 'things' over various protocols or APIs while abstracting some of their complexity. Collection modes rely on a JSON configuration file describing the data you want to get and the processing or mapping you may wish to apply. This kind of mode is handy if you are in one of the following situations:You can't find an existing plugin to monitor what you want or fulfill your particular need. You need to gather data from a in-house, black box, or third-party application and transform it to be easier to analyze. Writing (or asking for) a dedicated plugin appears overkill because you simply want to monitor values and apply thresholds over them. Currently, Collection modes are available for: SNMP (check the tutorial) SQL (check the tutorial)In other words, you can use these on any device supporting SNMP

[network::extreme::snmp::plugin] -- mode=hardware ALL 0 components are ok [ ]

Hey, I recently installed centreon to monitor my extreme network switches but the centreon-plugins doesn’t work well. In this example, the hardware-global service checks 0 components while there is of course, more than 0 components.When I enter the command by hand (./centreon_extreme.pl --plugin=network::extreme::snmp::plugin:: --mode=hardware --hostname=ipAddress --snmp-version=2c --snmp-community=’roCommunity’ --component=’.*’ --verbose), it returns the following result :“OK: All 0 components are ok [ ].Checking fansChecking power suppliesChecking slotsChecking temperatureChecking poes”And yes that’s all I get. No error message or anything else. I can’t find the documentation for extreme networks with centreon-plugins. Can anyone tell me if I’m doing something wrong and if I am, how can I fix it ?

HTTP Collection mode - dealing with boolean values

Hello,I’m currently playing around with the collection mode for HTTP, to query some JSON Data. The JSON-Data includes boolean values which I want to use insight a count function for filtering elements on a selection. Utilisation des icones pour contrôle des URL

Bonjour,Avant ma question un peu (beaucoup ?) de mise en contexte.Dans le cadre de mon travail, j’ai dépoussiéré notre vieux Centreon (version 2.8.32) en y réalisant une petite mise à jour de la documentation à notre disposition pour faciliter la création de ticket et/ou la résolution des incidents.Pour cela, j’ai renseigné au maximum les champs personnalisés URL et URL d’action (notes_url et action_url); Cependant, à cause de certaines particularités de la configuration, ces champs ont été remplis soit dans la config des services directement soit dans la config des modèles associés.Mon projet actuel est de mettre en place un contrôle de Centreon permettant de déterminer si un service possède, à minima, une URL lui étant associé.La seule donnée identique (en tout cas visuellement), quelque soit la configuration des URL, est la présence des icônes :link.png quand Centreon repère une URL (notes_url) dans l’arborescence star-full.png quand Centreon repère une URL d’action (action_url) dan

Alternative to SNMP ?

Hi All,Using Centreon for monitoring via SNMP and which works great… I have a small number of newly built Windows 10 LTSC devices which just won’t take the optional feature of SNMP, just won’t install after spending a day trying via different methods…. I wonder if anyone can advise on an alternative method, either a 3rd party SNMP Agent or via a different configuration within Centreon?Appreciate any responses!Thank you!

Check only up interfaces

Hello!i’m using “network::cisco::standard::snmp::plugin” plugin to monitor various performance metrics of my cisco switches.By default it checks all interfaces and i would like to filter out some of the less usefull interfaces, for example i would like to filter out all the interfaces that are in a down state (disconnetcted state, as the switch says).From the --help command i’ve noticed a couple of options that could help me:--check-metrics            If the expression is true, metrics are checked (Default:            '%{opstatus} eq "up"').This seems to be the options that i’m looking for but it does not seem to work as i expected, it looks like all the perfomance data are still showing up and it is instead simply not triggering any thresholds for these interfaces.--filter-perfdata-advThis flter could work by filtering all the interfaces that have 0 as traffic, however in some cases some interfaces are not down and but still making 0 traffic and this could be a problem.What do you thi

CENTREON - DELAY TO ADD HOST OR SERVICE

Hello, Now centreon is working for me so i configure all hosts and services and more.But when i create a Host or Service for host and i export the configuration or relaod the collector. I need to reboot centreon to actualize and host/services are available or not in my ressources view.I need to see my host/services just after create and reload the collector, if reboot are needed all time… it’s complicate Thanks,

Data_bin compression

Bonjour, Notre base de données devient vraiment volumineuse et difficile à gérer au niveau des backups (+300Go). Nous souhaitons conserver notre rétention par défaut (1 an)Nous avons l’idée de mettre la table data_bin qui prends 99% de cette espace en COMPRESSION via mariadb ALTER TABLE data_bin PAGE_COMPRESSED=1;Est ce que Centreon supporte cette modification coté BDD, sensé être totalement transparente coté applicatif ? Nous sommes sur des SSD et les prérequis sont validés. Merci

Centreon Windows Services (SNMP)

Hello I have recently installed Centreon ( IT version), and have been adding servers via the discovery option.Some of the services, with special characters are failing, like the print below.Status informationCRITICAL: Service problem '^COM+ Event System'Service pattern '^COM+ Event System': service listi have tried changing the name, and also using the slash \ to substitute the + ou the parentesis even disabling these services, but still not working, or the next day centreon will add them again.  could anyone help me out, on how to solve this.

Oracle multiple SID tnsping ? V2

Supervision interface

Bonjour,J’ai actuellement des modèles d’hôtes en place et lorsque je créer un nouvel hôte, différents services sont créés automatiquement, jusque là pas de problème.Lorsque mon service qui monitore une interface se créer, le champs --interface= est vide ce qui par défaut prend l’ensemble des interfaces.Un des plugins utilisé est par exemple centreon_plugins.pl --plugin=network::aruba::standard::snmp::pluginMa question est, comment puis-je faire en sorte que lorsque le champs est vide, j’ai une remonté UNKNOWN avec un message contextuel du type ‘pas d’interface spécifiée’ ?Merci d’avanceYohan

HTTP collection - aide sur les clés et fonctions utilisables

Bonjour, Depuis la présentation des collections HTTP au dernier Centreon Summit, je cherche à réaliser une supervision de l’espace disque utilisé sur un Radware Alteon par son API.Existe-t-il une documentation exhaustive des différentes clés (paramètres) et fonctions qu’on peut utiliser dans les collections en général (HTTP, SNMP et SQL) ?J’ai vu par exemple qu’il faut utiliser le paramètre “insecure=1” pour ne pas vérifier le certificat. J’imagine que ce paramètre correspond à l’option `--insecure` du mode “response” (`--mode=response`) ? Est-ce que si je déclare un paramètre “proxyurl=http://IP_PROXY:PORT_PROXY” comme je le fais avec le mode=response (`--proxyurl=’http://IP_PROXY:PORT_PROXY’`), cela fonctionnerai ?De même pour les différentes fonctions utilisables. J’en relève au moins deux : count et assign. En existe-t-il d’autre ?

VMware template not displayed in host configuration

Hi,I have a problem with my Centreon 23.10.3 (appliance).If I install Virt-VMWare2-ESX, the corresponding templates doesn’t appear in Templates pull-down list during host configuration, though it appears in the menu Hosts/Templates!It works for other monitoring connectors like  OS-Windows-SNMP-custom but not for Virt-VMWare2-ESX.I already updated the system as I saw it solved the problem for another user.How can I troubleshoot this problem ?Regards,Olivier

DSM - Alerts don't stay more than a few minutes in slots

Centreon Version : 20.04 Symptoms :After several month working as wanted, we experience a strange issue.Alerts are correctly created through smnptrap and appear during few minutes in slots.Then Slot return to OK status without any action, acknowledge or such. Debug actions :In a first debug search, active checks are effectively disabled, freshness is set at template level at 86400 sec (1day). Log seems not to mention any manually force Ok by exploitation team.Reviewing all the installation procedure and screenshot I took during initial configuration, no changes seems to have been applied.Simulating a smnptrap through dsmclient.pl script react as wanted, get a slot and create the alert, but disappear few minutes after been created. Does any one have experienced this kind of behavior ? If any idea where to search more ?? Thx.
