VMWare 8 connector : First stone

Hello everyone, As part of our project to update our dedicated VMware connectors, we are deploying the foundation of the VMware 8 ESX monitoring connector via REST API this month. This connector is a lightweight version, as it only includes CPU, memory, power and host discovery modes. We have already planned to enhance this connector in the coming months with new modes. It is marked as experimental because, at this stage, we still need to verify its functionality with numerous metrics (as may be the case in certain production environments). Feel free to share your feedback on this and more generally on this connector here. We will keep you informed of progress on this subject.

SNClient+ : short review

Hello,I tried SNclient+ and I will share what I found with this short review.My thirst thought is that SNClient+ is mainly for Windows host.s Why ? Because I failed to installed it from Debian 5 to Debian 11 included. The Debian packages are broken on all theses releases, you can’t install it, it will throw an error.The answer from the team was if it’s not working you can try to recompile it from sources.It more sunny on the RedHat side because the RPM is valid (and tested) on RedHat 7 and 9 (I didn't test it on RH8).Also, only a unit for Systemd is included, no Init script.On the Windows side, it’s unclear on which version we could run it.I successfully run it on Windows 2019 but the SNClient+ team don’t give a list of supported OS :https://github.com/ConSol-Monitoring/snclient/issues/48 I tried some check with «check_nrpe» as I’m used to with NSClient++.Some are identical, like theses :$ /usr/lib64/nagios/plugins/check_nrpe -H 10.128.10.7 -c check_drivesize -a Drive=C: ShowAll MinWar

Retirement of Office 365 connectors within Microsoft Teams

Microsoft made this announcement at the beginning of July:Starting August 15th, 2024 we will be removing the Office 365 connectors feature from Microsoft Teams. We recommend Power Automate workflows as the solution to relay information into and out of Teams in a scalable, flexible, and secure way.We will gradually roll out this change in waves:Wave 1 – effective August 15th, 2024: All new Connector creation will be blocked within all clouds Wave 2 – effective October 1st, 2024: All connectors within all clouds will stop working How will it work on the Centreon side?We have started to address this change and hope to quickly have an updated notification script in beta for users who would be interested in helping us validate it. Dear Watchers,As I said here, we experimented a new SNMP version 3 template for Linux.We are planning to add similar SNMP version 3 templates to other monitoring connectors to make it easier to use SNMP v3 (I agree it's not ideal to use the $_SERVICEEXTRAOPTION$ macro for that) in more contexts.What I'm proposing you here is to answer to my post by giving:The name of the monitoring connector or the host template you'd like to see support SNMP v3 macros. Problem export config to the central server centreon 24.10

I have a cluster using Ceph that I would like to monitor.I set up the restful ceph api like this : ceph config set mgr mgr/restful/server_port 8443ceph config set mgr mgr/restful/server_addr 0.0.0.0ceph restful create-self-signed-certceph restful create-key centreon #demo userHowever, after setting up the host like this : I have the following error : UNKNOWN: 405 Method Not AllowedIt seems the collector is trying to auth via a post, however it seems the restful api doesn’t auth like this now (I am on Ceph 19.2.3 Squid right now). Is this an issue on my part (I chose the wrong API, maybe ?) or is there a fix to do ? Thanks in advance

Apologies if this is a duplicate. I could not find an existing similar issue.centreon V24.10plugin nrpe4 for linux 25.09.0After installing NRPE plugin I tried to use the provided template OS-Linux-File-Date-Generic-NRPE4-custom.I added the service to an existing host and the resulting check command produced was/usr/lib64/nagios/plugins/ -H my_monitored_host -p -t -c check_centreon_plugins -a 'os::linux::local::plugin' 'files-date' ' --files="my_monitored_file" --warning="172800" --critical="259200" --filter-plugin="" --verbose' Which obviously failed for 3 reasons:path to the executable was missing option -t was empty option -p was emptyI created my own check command and service template to have the following check command: /usr/lib64/nagios/plugins/check_nrpe -H my_monitored_host -c check_centreon_plugins -a 'os::linux::local::plugin' 'files-date' ' --files="my_monitored_file" --warning="172800" --critical="259200" --filter-plugin="" --verbose'My monitoring was then OK.Is it

I’ve tried different “ssh backend” options, but I keep getting errors.With sshcli:UNKNOWN: sshcli backend cannot use ssh password. please use backend plink or libsshAnyway, I mostly use service accounts, so I tried libssh :UNKNOWN: command execution error [exit code: 7]Or if the mode is set to core instead of xmpp :UNKNOWN: Cannot serialize statefile '/var/lib/centreon/centplugins/bluemind_core_***.***.***.***_xxxxxxxxxxxx....'Never mind, I tried plink:UNKNOWN: Command error: Can't exec "plink": Aucun fichier ou dossier de ce type at /usr/lib/centreon/plugins//centreon_bluemind_ssh.pl line 4059. I tested the service account on the Bluemind VM and got a proper response with the curl command specified in the documentation, but nothing works.I just upgraded Centreon to version 24.10 today after upgrading Debian from 11 to 12. Bonjour,Je vous contacte, car je rencontre un problème assez bizarre, j’ai configuré un hôte et les services pour interroger un serveur Microsoft SQL (avec le pack de plugin). Les commandes sur le serveur centreon fonctionne correctement elles renvoient bien les bonnes valeurs.par contre sur l’interface web de centreon, j’ai la fameuse erreur :UNKNOWN: Cannot connect: OpenClient message: LAYER = (0) ORIGIN = (0) SEVERITY = (78) NUMBER = (44)Server , databasePourtant si je copie la commande que réalise centreon sur le shell elle fonctionne.j’ai exporté les configurations, redémarrer le serveur rien ne se passe.
