We have some messages that we eliminate via an automatic restart during the night (e.g. C disks with warning, SWAP messages). If we work with acknowledgements and the problem has not been solved overnight, the alarm remains permanently acknowledged and we lose sight of this alarm. If we work with a downtime until the next morning at 05:00 (which we currently do), we do not notice if the C disk switches from Warning to Critical by then and may prevent users from continuing to work.
Hi, we are monitoring the reliability of WAN lines. We have a check, which measures the round-trip-time to a remote site and giving back the min, avg and max RTT.I’d like to have a graph, which draws the avg as a solid line (that’s easy) and I want to have the area between the min and max filled with a colour. For those, who know smokeping, I like this kind of display a lot!Maybe there are other use-cases, where a filled area between two metrics might be useful !?Would it be possible to fill the max metric as usual and restore background colour (erase the filling of the max) with the min metric?
Hi,Persona : adminsProblem to solve : It is not possible to reassign the owner of a dashboard. If this person leaves the company, it should be possible to assign their dashboards to another user.Expected outcome : Allow Centreon Admins to reassign the owner through the Dashboards forms.Potential solution : Add functionnality in the 3 dots menu of a dashboard. Regards
Today, Centreon users can monitor latency and throughput in real time via the Latencetech REST API plugin pack. The next step could be to move from reactive monitoring to proactive prediction. The idea is to create a “Latency Intelligence” layer inside Centreon that leverages Latencetech’s fine-grained metrics (latency, jitter, stability, volatility) to forecast degradations before incidents occur.By correlating these indicators with Centreon Business Activity Monitoring (BAM) views, users could anticipate SLA drifts and understand how network instability impacts service performance.Predictive alerts (“latency drift alerts”), QoE dashboards, and latency trend analytics would help network and IT teams reduce downtime, prevent service degradation, and enhance user experience. This innovation would position Centreon as a truly predictive observability platform, bridging technical and business perspectives — and turning monitoring into insight.
Hi,Persona : Admins and OpsProblem to solve : With a large number of dashboards, searching could be simplified with more sorting criteria.Expected outcome : Enhance search bar with criteria about owning and sharing.Potential solution : Redesign the search bar to add two criteria:1- Drop down list “Owners” (feature for administrators) : all dashboards owners2- Drop down list “Sharing” (feature for anyone) : “My dashboards” or “Dashboards shared with me”Regards 🙂
Hi,In the widgets “Host Monitoring” or “Service Monitoring” for the Custom Views, we have icons for the links in Note_URL et Action_URL.In widget Resources_Table for the Dashboard, we don’t have these icons, however in my organisation we use its for the troubleshooting. Can theses icons be added in the widget Resources_Table ?Thanks
When adding a note about a service, it would be nice to be able to view this information in Supervision > Resource Status. When you click on the service, you get the service detail banner.
Hi,Persona : admin or people in charge of setting maps upProblem to solve : In the MAP module, adding host's network neighbourhood and the links/ports that connect them is a repetitive and time-consuming task.Expected outcome : Within the scope of network supervision, the aim would be to automatically map the equipment connected to the host. Potential solution :Provided that the LLDP (or CDP) protocol is active on the network, the MIB of the specified host contains the necessary information. The retrieved list must then be compared with the list of hosts declared in Centreon, and the MAP could be constructed from the join of the two. To avoid the risk of duplication, we would limit ourselves to the host's immediate neighbours.Regards.
I need to monitor several values, which I want to have in a single graph.Unfortuantely, I need to do some math on each value (/10 for some and /100 for others). When I grab a single oid, I can do that with --format-custom. But in --config-json mode, format-custom does not do anything. Can these options be added to the --config-json mode?BRHorst
Hi Centreon team,I’ve noticed a small but annoying UI issue in the web interface. When you hover the mouse over the left-side menus, the dropdown overlays the buttons or fields I’m trying to click or edit (see screenshot attached). This makes the user experience quite frustrating, especially when configuring pollers or exporting configurations.Would it be possible to add an option in the UI settings to switch between hover (overmouse) and onclick behavior for opening the side menus? Thanks for considering this improvement — it would make navigation much smoother!Best regards,Sébastien
Hello, I was going through Centreon’s CLI, RESTv1 and RESTv2 APIs and found that Escalations object management is completely missing from all APIs. Right now I am performing a migration to new Centroen Central (with clean DB, importing config via CLAPI). And I have to recreate 500+ escalations by hand. API endpoint would be really helpful in this case. Would it be possible to develop this feature in newer version of Centreon? Best regards,Martin Szabo
Some customers uses the icon of host to define if a ticket is requested all the time (24x7) or only on workhours. In this case, it could be useful to display this icon on the parent resource.Either in place of the status icon (not very relevant)(4) or next to the status icon (1), or in a separate “parent icon” column (2) as for notes, graphs, or actions, or even in the “parent alias” column (3), which can be activated as needed.Thanks.
Having the option to display or not the last value above the graph is to make it change color depending on the status. This is currently possible by placing two widgets "Single metric" and "Metrics graph" on top of each other instead of just one.
Hi,Persona: operatorsProblem to solve: no widget to list or summarize summarize events. Such a widget would be useful to provide to operators a “single plane of glass” dashboard with current KPI’s status and a summary of recent events.Expected outcome: a widget which takes as input : a scope which can be filtered : services or hosts or servicegroup or hostgroup a timespan : last x hours state and status (by default all)and displays at least the number of events.Potential solutions: probably a new widgetRegards 🙂
