Centreon Infra Monitoring

Hello, I’m encountering an issue when trying to retrieve the ID of a host category using the following API route: {{baseUrl}}/configuration/hosts/categories?search={"name":"X"} If the host category X is not linked to any host, the API returns an empty result. However, if I don’t use the search parameter, the API lists all my categories — including the one named X, even if it’s empty. My goal is to retrieve the ID of this category to use it in another script. As a workaround, I can fetch all categories without using the search parameter and then filter the results manually, but that requires handling pagination and parsing the entire result set, which is not ideal. I don’t understand why the category is returned when calling the endpoint without search, but not when using the search filter. To me, this behavior could be considered a bug. Has anyone experienced this before, or does someone have more information on this? Thanks in advance!

I am installing a distributed architecture for my centreon.I have a central centreon and I need to install a remote server on it (maybe in Proxy mode) and finally pollers in different locationsThe IP addresses of the central server, remote server and pollers are in different network ranges and are connected by VPNs. Hi, new user here. We have deployed a centreon server only a couple of days ago and I’m trying to figure out if it covers all our needs.In particular I was tinkering with templates but seems that doesn’t work as I was expecting. I’ve created a host template with all the basic settings we need: notifications, services templates, scheduling…Now when I try to create a new host and assing this template to it, new host is inheriting only services and icon, no other fields are copied from the template.Is that supposed to work like this or I’m missing something? Thanks in advance for your attentionAlessio

Hello everyone,I'm facing an issue while trying to use the severity level to create a ticket with a priority level in our custom ITSM system. Here's the approach I've followed so far:I've created a severity field within the categories. However, I'm stuck on the following points: It's not possible to retrieve the severity level directly from the service or host in a macro within the notification command. It's not possible to retrieve this information via command line (CLAPI v1) or REST API v1. This is preventing the creation of the ticket with the correct priority based on the severity.I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas or solutions to resolve this.I considered creating a special macro on all hosts/services, but I would prefer to use the existing setup as it is already

L’installation s’est faite “correctement” avec la commande : curl -L -s https://download.centreon.com/24.10/unattended.sh | bashCependant je rencontre un problème, mon collecteur “Central” ne veut pas passer dans l’état “En cours d’exécution”. J’ai suivis les docs d’installation officielles de Centreon, les différents forum, etc… Mais rien n’a fonctionné. Même au niveau de ma debian, je n’ai touché à aucun fichier de conf.  Si quelqu’un à une solution, je suis preneur ! 

Hi,We just updated to the version 24.10.2, and started to use the dashboards just now, we were (and are) still using custom view for most of our issues We created a dashboard for our services, and we can see that the aknowledged ones appear in the grid view, and I can’t find a workaround to get rid of them. I found this post for the previous version (problem with the 24.4.4, patched in 24.4.5) I looked around in the new DbReadResourceRepository.php file, it look like the filter is already set to resources.enabled = 1 (lines 184 and 462), but aknowledged services still show in the view.  I’m not against a workaround if there is no solution yet, I didn’t found a related issue in the recent posts (24.10 and up), but thanks to anyone that can help us start with those dashboard views =)

Hi,I´ve got the same problem that the one in this post: It was “solved” (in that post) reinstalling centreon packages but it doesn´t work for me.Could you please give a hand? Hello,I'm trying to setup a Centreon infrastructure with a Central server and a Remote one.I’m using these versions:Centreon version 24.10 Running on Debian 12 Remote databasesI'm following the documentation.At the last step from Attach a remote server to a central server - when running:systemctl restart cbd centengineThe processes are restarted on the remote server, the web UI shows the remote as running (green),BUT the central server is set to "not running" (red) at the same time.The processes are still running on the Central server. As mentioned, I got this error while trying to do step 4 of the server instructions (step 3.5 in the official documentation: Add a MariaDB table partition. This step is mandatory. Your Centreon server will not work if this isn't done.).I can connect to the web console, but I see a database issue/poller not running: 

I was testing use cases on my centreon instance 23.10 with some hosts in a host group, then i wanted to provide custom view for monitoring purposes.I had no issue preparing those dashboards, but when i moved from 22.10 to 23.10, i realized that if a user isn’t configured as Admin, it cannot use the hostgroup widget, it stays empty.It doesn’t seem to be an ACL issue as the user can see the data in the resource status view and can even use the host monitoring widget. I’m unaware of what could be causing such issue.I saw there was issues with the filtering process as well on version 23.10 of Centreon, but i’m unsure if that’s related, so i’m opening an issue here.
