Service-Severity not working with great number of Templates

Hi Supporters, community, i tried to start using Severity on Services today.I tried to first define a base-severity where i wanted to include almost all of our templates and then assign more severe ones to some of the templates left. Unfortunately it does not work when i am linking the 1059 Base-Templates and it appears this is just simply to much for centreon to work with? Please advise. RegardsTimo

How to use SNMPv3 with Centreon (no license)

So i’m trying to set up a Centreon server (version 22) and i want to use SNMPv3 but i don’t understand how i’m supposed to use it.I want to use the Auth Priv mode but when i want to add a host it doesn’t prompt me with a “username / password” or anything, it’s just the community and the version.I can’t find any documentation about SNMPv3 with Centreon (apart from the “discovery” part but that’s with the paid license)

Hi,Is there any users of the Centreon SaaS solution here? Especially users which went from on-premises to SaaS?Can they share their experience? Pros and cons?I know the pros and cons of on-premises vs. SaaS in general, but I wonder about this for Centreon particularly.

Error processing hostTemplates.cfg file (2d_coords)

Recently I have imported via CLAPI .cfg configuration files from Nagios to Centreon, when exporting the configuration I got the following error:However when I go to the generated template, I see that it is correctly, in the 2d_coord section the data has been entered.What can this be due to? How can I solve it?

Browser session to Centreon onpremise webpage is frequently closed if open in multiple tabs

Hello,I would like to ask for help for an on-premise Centreon website issue.If multiple Centreon browser tabs are open (logged on), then the session is randomly but frequently closed.The browser shows again the logon screen, but then after re-logon forgets where it was.It happens quite randomly and only in Centreon webpage.All other internal websites can work well in the same time.It is the situation also from site network and also from home office (via VPN)If we keep only one logged on tab open, it works well continuously.It is not a browser-connected issue, it happens in Chrome, Edge, etc.Have anyone detected the same yet?Thanks in advance.

Get only 1 mail when an host is down from the host and his services.

Hi,  Is it possible when a host get down to receive only the mail from the host and not the mails from services associate to this host ?Like for the services to send a mail they can check if the host is up or down.If the host is down don’t send a mail      |     if the host is up send a mail. Regards,

Ensure compatibility between versions of plugins in version 2.8x and 3.4

Hi, Regarding to the title, now we are using the Centeron version 2.8.32.because of the platform migration plan has been taken in action within 2 months.So, we are planing to install Centeron service to the brandnew platform, which is Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 7.3 (Maipo).But, we have a certain issue to solve for migration, that is we do not have the package of Centeron version 2.8.32.So that we would like to ask this community to provide us, if there are any certain link to provide us to obtain the Centeron version 2.8.32.or if it is still difficult to provide us such a link, then we need to ensure Centeron package compatibility matching between 2.8.x and Centreon 3.4 as it is described in the compatibility table below the link.Software support policy — Centreon 2.8 documentationBest Regards,

After upgrade from 22.04.7 to 22.10.0 the resource status page is emtpy

Hi there, i just very freshly did the update from 22.04.7 to 22.10.0 on a Centos7-Basis coming from 20.04-ISOs. After this the “Resource Status” is completely emtpy and showing 0 Hosts and 0 Services being set to display “All” - Funy thing though - the deprecated pages work and show all the missing Hosts and Services. please advise asap - thx RegardsTimo

Disk discovery with NSClient05/NRPE

Weird alerting plugin

Hello, I’m posting here because I discovered a weird reaction in the plugin centreon_ups_socomec_netvision_snmpFor example :Context : The inverter has 12% remaining batterySending the following command, /usr/lib/centreon/plugins/centreon_ups_socomec_netvision_snmp.pl --plugin=hardware::ups::socomec::netvision::snmp::plugin --mode=battery  --hostname=ipaddress --snmp-community=community --snmp-version='version' --warning-charge-remaining='80’The answer to this request is “OK”If I change the value of warning-charge-remaining from “80” to “10”, the answer is “Warning”It seems we got a warning alert when the real value of battery is GREATER than the probe set Is anyone already encountered that ?Is there a way to invert the process (to get alarmed when the battery gets under the probe) ? Best Regards

cbd.service not found after packages installation (22.04)

Hi,I’ve installed a complete Central using packages.I have no acces to the internet.After installing, I’ve noticed that service cbd is not present.I have reinstalled centreon-broker, but still doesn’t appears cbd service.What can I do to solve this situation?Thank’sMEstherNM

Probleme avec OVA sous VMware workstation

I am about to test the upgrae from 21.10 to 22.10 and I’m trying to deploy a VM with the OVA file but when I open centreon-central-21.10.ova under VMware Workstation 16 Pro, I getFailed to read from file: centreon-central-21.10.ovaI also tried with 22.10 ova file and same result Any suggestions ? Thanks in advanceGaetan

Can't access CLAPI /usr/share/centreon/bin/centreon

Hi, Im trying to export my old nagios files with the NagiosToCentreon CLAPI, I’ve alredy export the centreon_clapi_import_commands.txt but when I try to do the command /usr/share/centreon/bin/centreon, I can’t access using my web user admin, I get a invalid credentials message. How can I fix this? I’m COMPLETELY sure I have enter the password correctly (I have tried multiple time in the web and it works) Any idea??Thank you

Size of the widget displaying FQDN/IP adress

Hi,Why this widget has a full width?: Half the width would be enough, as for Timezone and Current status duration. Is that not a waste of space?I know a DNS name may be longer but it’s also the case for the host alias, still it uses half the width like the Timezone.

Kubernetes Nodes (RestAPI) causing UNKNOWN: Cannot decode json response: write failed: at /usr/share/perl5/LWP/Protocol/http.pm line 238.

We have Kubernetes Nodes (RestAPI)  is configured to monitor EKS.  As per centreon documentation: Credentaisl have been set using token retrieved ealier from the service account hostname/address, port and protocol are configured. We somehow ret this exception: UNKNOWN: Cannot decode json response: write failed:  at /usr/share/perl5/LWP/Protocol/http.pm line 238. Any idea?

Resources Status page: search for a string with a space character

Hi,The new Resource Status page use regexp, while this is a good enhancement, it doesn’t permit to search for a string with a space in it. I tried quoting the string (both simple and double), I also tried to use `\s`, none of this works.How can I achieve that?This is something the Monitoring/Services and Monitoring/Hosts pages permit. It’s useful when searching in the plugin output (or even sometimes in the service name).I’m OK to do my best to start using this new Resource Status page (and, to incite my users to do so) but I’d like to have the same functionalities I had with the old ones.

Reopenning of bug in Github made impossible

Hi,The following bug has been closed and I cannot manage to reopen it.It’s not fixed, and even for the « workaround » suggested (which is: using the new Resources Status page) the person who closed the bug didn’t even read correctly what I wrote, he’s telling me to try something I already told wasn’t working.Why is it not possible to reopen a bug? The functionality exists in Github so why does it seems to have been deactivated?Best regards,

OVA et virtualbox

Bonjour à tous .je voulais essayer l’OVA 22.10 sur https://download.centreon.com/quand j’importe l’OVA sur Virtualbox, la VM ne démarre pas :FATAL : No bootable medium found! System halted .Pourtant le disque dur est bien importé :Je suis sur un 6.1.40 de virtualbox .Est ce que quelqu’un à déjà eu ce problème ?

Conserve line returns in comment

Hi,The comment added when one put a downtime on an object is displayed in the tooltip when you rollover the downtime logo (the pink triangle with an exclamation mark).The problem is that line returns aren’t displayed there. The only workaround is to directly write the comment as HTML (ie: with <br /> tags), but that’s not convenient for the average user (nor is for the advanced one in fact…). They are saved in database, they probably should be replaced with an HTML tag for display, or in a HTML container that display text raw. What do you think?More globally, I hope the developer team still has time to enhance the “old” UI, is this the case?I personally think the new UI is unfinished for a good part, so the idea to depreciate the old one so rapidly really is a bad idea. Currently this is the new UI that should be warned as beta, and be optional for the user to test, not the (fully functional) current one marked as depreciated ! 😊 I wonder what other people think? Installation of the Centreon plugins from the Github repository

Hi,When looking in the centreon/centreon-plugins Github repository I can’t see the same files which I have in the /usr/lib/centreon/plugins/ directory after an installation from the RPM packages.My knowledge of Perl is very limited, but I suppose there is some kind of install process in order to be able to use the plugins. I looked at the README but didn’t find any. I don’t think that just cloning the repository would permit me to use the plugins, but maybe I’m wrong? If so, how to use them?I’d like to be able to do that in order to test the very last version of the plugins without having to wait for release and packaging.I suppose I’d have to do so if I’d like to participate in the development of the plugins. The README, in the  Basic Usage section, shows an example with running the “centreon_plugins.pl” script. Would it work just after I cloned the repository? I didn’t try because the README also tells : “I have finished the install section and I want to monitor a Linux in SNMP”, so

21.10 - Database Partitioning not up to date

Hello, Since I upgraded to 21.10, the service ‘Partitioning’ on my server goes critical each 10 days because the database isn’t up to date.I did the partitionning mannually twice using this : https://www.sugarbug.fr/blog/files/troubleshooting-partition-mariadb.htmlLast time I tried adding0 4 * * * centreon /bin/php /usr/share/centreon/cron/centreon-partitioning.php >> /var/log/centreon/centreon-partitioning.log 2>&1to the root user crontab. But today my service ‘warning’ and dates are from 10/02. I also checked the user ‘centreon’ crontab which is empty, I don’t know if it’s normal----Also the freespace on centreon database is 0, I would like to add space (if it’s possible) before it cause issues.---Thank you for your assistance :)
