Hi, I’m using Centreon 21.04 and I try to manage my hostgroups from the custom view.I have a few groups of hosts that end up with ctx2k8 and I'd like to display them in my custom viewSo I added the widget hostgroupmonitoring and configured it as follows :But nothing works.Do you know how I could do that? Knowing that nothing changes even if I move the % everywhere ahah. Thanks Edit1: Just for you to be informed, a few days ago I updated from version 19.10 to 20.04.
We recently started over with Centreon 21.10.1 to replace our Centreon 2.5.2 as a front-end for Nagios. While setting up the new system, we ran into a bug. In v2.5.2, we were able to escape the special character “!” in check command args for Services by host group. In v21.10.1, using “!” or “\!” as an arg value is simply stripped when saving configuratin. We have a very widespread SNMP community name that contains a “!” character. The check command is quite simple “$USER1$/check_snmp -H $HOSTADDRESS$ -C $ARG1$ -o .1.3.6.1.4.1.318.1.1.1.2.2.1.0 -w $ARG2$ -c $ARG3$ -l 'Adv. Battery Capacity' -u '%'” with “$ARG1$ being the SNMP community string.

Hello all,In our strategy to continuously enhance our UX, both making it nicer to your eyes and increasing your productivity, we are considering evolving the monitoring of Business Activities in Centreon. Before doing that, we would like to be sure we are heading in the right direction. This is where you come into the game. Please tell us how you monitor your business activities, what are the pain points you face doing this and make us any suggestion you may have. You can do so by filing the following form (in French!)This should not take more than five minutes of your time and would be of great help to us. Hello !We used centreon open source in our company and I have one difficulty with the notification. We have one central for production servers and another for everything else.Off production we have multiple environment like (development, qualification, integration and so on….)We needs to notifiy different service or people on some service depending on the environment. For example:When a queue rabbit is critical on dev notify dev teams. On qualification notify the business team of this environment etc…Today with the heritage of service template I didn’t found a valid solution. The only thing I find to manage my needs is to manage individually notification in service by host menu, service by service, but when you have hundreds edit it through the interface can take a lot of time. And I think it’s not so visual to see the notification process. The needs of sending the notification is established case by case so I cannot having a predefined list of people to notify. What is the best way to manage
Hello,I'm having a problem developing my widget. When I configure my configs.xml file, I add an input like this:<preference label="List Host Name" name="list_host" defaultValue="" type="hostMulti" header="Test"/>When i fill it in like this and click on apply, host id are sent. But when I go back to widget preferences, hosts I entered have disappeared and I get this kind of error :You should know that when I only put one host in the input, no error is displayed the input of the hosts does not work, but the input of the hostgroups (bellow) works very well.<preference label="List Hostgroup Name" name="list_hostgroup" defaultValue="" type="hostGroupMulti" header="Test"/>Do you have any idea where the problem comes from?

Wondering if this product has any capability to log into Cisco devices (or others) and grab the running and startup configs for backup and auditing purposes.Even better if it also includes config change auditing and comparisons. We’d be interested in logging into and grabbing config backups for the following platforms:Cisco IOS-XR, CIsco IOS-XE, Cisco Nexus NX-OS, Palo Alto NGFW’s, Accedian devices.
Normally, Centreon installation need an Internet Access just after the installation to update RPM package, check the license or download Plugin Pack.Unfortunately, High secured supervision platforms can have restricted or forbidden Internet Access (even with a proxy)It will be interesting to create an Air gap procedure to install, update et maintain this kind of configuration.Right now, creating a private rpm repo is not a problem with an FTP/HTTP server, but the license check and PP download could be tricky. Is there any clue about this?
Hello everybody, I’m back in the company where I did install a Centreon. Hi !During Centreon Summit, @omercier used a command line tool for automating service discovery with Ansible. This tool is CentCTL. Developed in Golang by YPSI, it can be used on Windows, Linux and MacOS systems. It can manage several instances of Centreon with a single command.Whether you want to import, export resources or manage Centreon in real time, CentCTL offers a simple interface, with built-in help.It uses Centreon's APIv1 and APIv2 and manages platforms from 2.8 version to the latest version. What are the use cases? You want to export the elements of a production platform to a test platform ? In a single command, the entire configuration is exported and imported to Centreon Target.Automate a check or a submit by a script in Powershell? This is also possible with CentCTL under Windows.Multiple output formats are also available like CSV, YAML or JSon.You can download the Opensource version at https://github.com/YPSI-SAS/centctlPlease don't hesitate to send us feedback of your Cent

Data collection components’ source code is now centralized in https://github.com/centreon/centreon-collect/.How it was before? For major releases until 21.04, source code has been (and is still) hosted in 4 distinct repos:https://github.com/centreon/centreon-engine: the monitoring engine https://github.com/centreon/centreon-broker: the broker component, which handles the communication https://github.com/centreon/centreon-connectors: optimizations for Centreon’s Perl plugins and checks performed via SSH. https://github.com/centreon/centreon-clib: common libraries for the above componentsWhat was wrong with that?Building the binaries manually from the source was quite tedious since the four repositories had to be cloned, and then compiled in the right order: clib needed to be compiled and installed first. In our continuous delivery chain, this resulted in the necessity to rebuild new containers with every new version of centreon-clib.How it is now?Starting with major release 21.10, all the
