VMWare 8 connector : First stone

Hello everyone, As part of our project to update our dedicated VMware connectors, we are deploying the foundation of the VMware 8 ESX monitoring connector via REST API this month. This connector is a lightweight version, as it only includes CPU, memory, power and host discovery modes. We have already planned to enhance this connector in the coming months with new modes. It is marked as experimental because, at this stage, we still need to verify its functionality with numerous metrics (as may be the case in certain production environments). Macro entry with dollar sign issue (from 25.10.12)

Hi,Due to the end of support of the release 24.04, I have recently upgraded my Centreon plateform to release 25.10 (I have two separate deployments).But I found an issue on one of my deployments.I’m using regex patterns within my “Custom Macro entries”, and I realized that the “$” sign is not passed anymore to the check command.For example, custom entry configured “xe-0/0/1$” becomes “xe-0/0/1” when it is passed to the check command.I have also realized that this issue appears with the release “25.10.12” and not present in “25.10.11”.Any idea ? Due to the licensing terms associated with NMAP and the end of Centreon's distribution rights for this binary, we will be required to remove the NMAP dependency currently bundled within our Centreon Plugin. While this decision affects current behavior, it is necessary to ensure legal compliance and the long-term sustainability of our solution.This change will take effect with the next Monitoring Connectors release scheduled for June. Upgrade issue from 24.04 to 24.10 - Oracle Linux 8

Last week (May 18, 2026) I was successfully able to upgrade from 24.04 to 24.10 on our backup/test system. All is well there. This weekend I attempted to upgrade our production system from 24.04 to 24.10.
